United airlines. Wow, serious suckability here and it's probably already been mentioned. I got a new United credit card a few months back now that SW doesn't fly our of Newark anymore. Perks include free checked bag for 2 people if booked on same reservation. We only have enough points for 1 full flight so I wanted to pay for one with miles and pay for the other. No can do. Or yes I can do, but it would be 2 separate reservations and therefore no free checked bag for the wife.

I called United and figured it would be an easy fix to link them, at least if you value your customers, but it can't be done. Refrained from cussing out the CSR that has probably heard similar bitching from irate customers on a regular basis. Really sucks because they have a lot of convenient non-stops out of Joisey.

how many bags do you have between you? If just 2, check them both on the passenger who gets free bags (or do the cheap asses just allow one free checked bag per passenger?)

Yes, can't check 2 to one passenger without paying extra. And Joisey ain't all that bad outside of ski season.

This one pisses me off though --> When I get a call at home asking me to come in for an emergent scan even though I am not on call that week. WTF co-workers? It shouldn't be my responsibility to update who is on call, that's your responsibility to update the call list when you are. At least the call didn't come in the middle of the night.
