We used to go hear blues at the Chessmate in Detroit, little club with table seating--Junior Wells, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, the top tier of 60's blues acts. The only way to find out who was playing was to drive by. Way too often the act that weekend was Chuck and Joni Mitchell. Never did hear them or find out what happened to Chuck. Neil Young used to play there a fair bit but I don't remember seeing his name and we never saw him there.

I remember here in JH when Snake River Roasting started making coffee, they came out in 11oz bags - looked just the same size and stocked right next to the then pretty standard 12oz competitor's bags but for the same price. Took me a couple of purchases to even realize what they'd done. Sleazy. But of course, what would you expect from anything on the Barron/Petroff slime nexus.
