I thought the right side vs left gas fill had more to do with foreign car vs domestic.
but ya that little arrow on the gas tank gage is going to be life changing for those of you that never noticed it prior. so handy with rental cars when you are in a rush to get to the airport and still need to fill upskid luxury

It’s entertaining reading through all the crazy rationales people offer for which side the gas cap goes on. Pretty sure it’s whichever side costs least to design and manufacture, and if it’s more or less equal they stick it on the left.

One of the many things I learned from Car Talk is that in 99% of cars, the fill tube is on the opposite side of the exhaust.
