In Switzerland - at least in Lucerne - hotel room irons are illegal. But they had my shirt ironed to perfection by 7 am for like $10.

lot of "illegals" in the military. partner of mine came to US at 5 undocumented. Amnesty in 1986 under the immigration act of 1986. (Republican senate, Democratic house, signed by Reagan. Yes, I said Reagan.) Graduated HS in LA with 9th grade reading level. Joined Marines as a jet mechanic and boxer. Went to Cal State Dominguez Hills, UC Davis Med School, UC Davis Surgery residency, U of Wisconsin vascular fellowship, practiced for a number of years with me at Kaiser, decided he wanted more so at age 50 went back to being a resident in heart surgery at Texas Heart in Houston. Now a attending surgeon at UC Davis in Sacto.

I don’t expect anyone to understand where I’m coming from. I haven’t watched a tv show in 25 years. I just don’t flow in the mainstream.

I ain’t pure. I follow international football a bit, I enjoy live music, I go to the movies here and there with my kid. But I can’t understand what passes as entertainment for most people. I’m just not there.
