Hahaha. I would definitely laugh at someone else who had this happen to them, so it's only fair

Good for her/you guys that she gets a week off in March….but it still is reason #1002 why teaching sucks….

    Happens with dead hookers, too.

    Or so I've been told.

I don't quite think this is correct - we were texting each other and she seemed as if she wanted to join the two of us.

It's this 100%. Although I did promise him that I understood this to be the case and would figure out ways to provide frequent 'alone' time without making it obvious. And just don't fucking invite me in the first place - that's my major issue. I'm an understanding guy, I can take being passed up for pussy on occasion. Oh well.

We plan to both retire at 56, and spend entire winters out in the mountains - so hopefully it all pays off.

UPDATE: A new bro-trip is rising from the ashes of the destruction left by my lame-ass friend. Looks like the Paulster might be heading back to good old W/B as "Mr. Steal Yo' Line."

    Shit that annoys you

Changed garbage companies at the start of September…..Had been using Waste Management (WM) for 20 years? They were fine, but cost has continually gone up/ our neighborhood suggested all of us changing to the same “new” company to reduce truck traffic in our community.

Cancelled at end of term….should of had a 0 balance. Well of course I get the email yesterday that my bill is overdue and I owe 100+ bucks. So, on the phone all morning for them to tell me I am being charged for them picking up my containers upon cancellation/ and the fuel surcharges/taxes associated with that.

Yes, I am annoyed…..The cancellation/pick up fee is like the same amount of my quarterly payment….ridiculous…and nothing I can do but pay up.

You don’t have to pay. Tell them to fuck off. Might be a ding on your credit score. But fuck them.

PS. I like the idea of one company for the hood. I’ve tried that. Both by talking to neighbors but also by talking to the Indy garbage companies. If you own every can on the street it’s a lot more efficient.

If the fee wasn’t clearly disclosed in advance or prominently published you’d just dispute the credit reporting. They’ll lose that dispute.

But things will get awkward if you ever have to go back to them.

I just canceled my propane service. They came and picked up the tank out of my yard. No fees.
    focus.

Our neighborhood has about 6 garbage companies that come through during the week... just a data point.

WTF. Is that just worshipping at the altar of privatization run amok or something? What a wasteful way to provide a public service.

You're not wrong. We're in an unincorporated portion of the county, so... anything goes?

There's at least four companies that do our "city". It's like the thunderdome.

I mean - you can pretty much pick whatever day of the week you want for pick-up... which I suppose is a perk.

In our old neighborhood we had two trash services. The town negotiated a contract with one of them - a much lower rate, and the town would just add the service to the water/sewer bills.

We’re all happy about saving money and only having one truck rolling through our kid-filled col de sac.

Except for our Fox watching neighbor - They can’t tell me what trash company to use!

    God bless you Sue.

Our county has competitive monopolies. Three companies, each with their own territory. So residential customers don't have any choice, but the city & county theoretically use the threat of replacing one with another (though not sure it actually works)

We had WM for my office. They sucked so we spoke to a local company and switched over. Not before threatening WM with a lawsuit or two and telling them to fuk right off.

About 3 months later they bought the local co.

    Fuk

Yeah, we have 3 in our area….
    -WM
    -County Waste
    -Eastern Waste and Recycling

Our community negotiated with Eastern so they now have all the houses in our neighborhood (15 homes)…….but we all are having to cancel with our prior company (most w/ WM)……so that probably pissed them off/ so they instituted this bogus cancellation/pickup of the containers charge.

I’ll just end up paying it/ I don’t really want to mess with them screwing with my credit…and adding more penalties/late fees…..the longer I wait.

    It totally sucks/ that’s why I’m annoyed.
