Three years ago I went to a coffee shop while I was visiting my sister halfway across the country. The barista asked if I had a rewards number so I gave them my sisters phone number so she would get the points toward a free drink or whatever.

Fast forward to this year, we go to a coffee roaster in the PNW and she says she’s been getting texts from them about reward points! Which is crazy because she’s never been to this coffee shop. We figured someone put in the wrong phone number for their coffee here in WA and she’s been getting their points.

Well today I went to that shop again and she texted me that she just got more points! So it turned out this mystery points guy is me, somehow just paying with my card and her phone number in the Midwest attached my card to that account.

Call me a kook but I may go with all cash from here out.

I have to browse/post from my phone, since work computer is blocked from anything not work related. Copying, pasting, then reformatting text on the phone is annoying, so I often don’t reformat, and you get to see copied black text on a dark blue background.
