Nice thing about Wordle is they only release one a day so you can’t waste too much time.

my kid plays scrabble with friends. we used to play bananagrams at the house until he memorized all the 2 letter words in the Scrabble dictionary and no one else had a chance. It's no fun for me to play if I can't win.

Stupid question for sure, but the response told me everything I’d need to know about how to proceed. Sometimes the point is just to get them to say something. No response warrants a whole different tactic.

In French street markets they use the human hand.

What I would like to see are booby trapped ears of corn randomly placed in the pile. Peel back the husks to look at the kernels and you get a shot of that purple dye banks put in with stolen money. Still have to work out how to deal with the booby-trapped ears that people buy unpeeled and take home, but I'm working on it.
Or maybe a security camera over the corn bin and every time someone peels back an ear a voice comes over the loudspeaker--"Karen in the red coat, stop ruining the corn. Yeah, you."

And if buying fresh corn matters to you buy it from a green grocer you trust.

Yeah, not a fan of finding those firm finger bruises on my avocado. Though usually they're only there if it's approaching too ripe or not a good one to begin with.
