Danno, have you ever thought about building a Lambo in your basement? I always found this story fascinating.

As far as sleeper sofas, I've never slept on one I liked. We bought one last year, thought it was OK in the store, slept on it to test it out and I could barely walk the next day. I'm convinced they are a waste of money, and a PITA to move. Much better off just buying a nice inflatable.
Feet taken off. Still doesn't fit.

Agreed on sleeper sofa being a waste. Murphy bed FTW.
Garage door taken off (not the jamb though). Not sure it makes a difference. We've punted for the moment, we'll wait till after my brother leaves to take another crack at it (before busting out the saw).

As for sleeper sofa, well, the idea is to have a sofa and have a bed. There aren't many options. And I have never been comfortable on an inflatable mattress. And did sleep on a sofa bed for 2 years once. Not all sofa beds are created alike, some are designed to be a bed in a pinch and some are more designed to be "daily sleepers", so we'd probably go for one of those. Some of them even have inflatable tops.

True murphy beds are crazy expensive. But any type of furniture that provides us a couch and a bed is acceptable, it doesn't have to be a classic sleeper sofa. It does, however, have to fit in the space.

    Shit that annoys you

My son started hockey camp today so last night I had him try on skates...even though I wasn't concerned about them not fitting since I bought them 1.5 sizes over perfect fit last year.

He's got couple months tops before his feet will hurt in them....toes touching the front a little.

    They were $450

Sure. I've heard that gnarly, stinky kid skates hold their value even better than Bitcoin.

We go through basketball shoes like nobody s business. They get expensive quick when the kid is outgrowing 2 pairs a year. And of course wants the latest signature model.

    Not really

I'll find out in a few months what I can get. Everything gets handed down to his sister but her feet probably won't ever get big enough to fit into these.

I can probably sell them to a family from our hockey organization. There's about 100 kids in each age bracket

I assume you've tried vertical, if it's not too long. You can often turn it around the "corner". We had a tight fit with a refrigerator. Thought we would have to take the door off but the guy on the truck just opened the door and was able to wiggle it through. But don't do what I did--I need to take off one jamb but I stupidly picked the one with the alarm sensor in it and broke the wire. I thought I could splice the wire but then someone came along, saw a wire sticking out and cut it flush.

This is annoying. The parking area was full.

The sign says park perpendicular if you can't read it. This is a different car than one I posted a picture of the other day. Fortunately there was enough dust on the back window for me to leave a choice message.

They should call her Janice Bond, and have machine guns pop out of her nipples.

I was hoping that a post Daniel Craig reboot might get done in period... back to the novels.

Instead it appears that 007 will be on her period.

Fair enough. However, couldn't they simply have made her another 00 agent? Why's it gotta be specifically 007?

I suppose the Bond character's parted ways from the Fleming version for quite some time so what the heck. Why not? Personally I miss the wholly UN-PC versions of Bond that Sean Connery and Roger Moore portrayed. Sometimes a KGB female spy just gotta be pimp slapped (then banged), know what I'm sayin'? Daniel Craig's been an awesome Bond in many ways, but he's too respectful toward teh wahmenz to be a proper Fleming Bond IMO.

A female 007 could be cool. Brings a whole new dynamic to the Moneypenny relationship. My support for a female Bond hinges on NOT turning the MP character into a dude.

Craig's Casino Royal was the most Fleming like Bond since OHMSS.... IMO

Got a Euro trip coming up this summer, so have been looking at various travel forums. Someone posted this on an Iceland forum:
Straight roads, no cars, beautiful clear skies - we are going 130 kmp on a 90.

Never was I told or even warned about the tickets in iceland. Anyway - 740USD if i paid on the spot - said no - mail it. that is RIDICULOUSLY high. (as if this would have ever stopped us anyway).

They took our info from our passports - said they can mail it. Now, what happens if I don't pay it/
My favorite part is the presumption that it wasn't really their fault because no one told them speeding tickets were so expensive in Iceland. People never cease to amaze...
