The Clark Fork, downriver from St. Regis..
Crossing the Flathead River not far from
the Little Bitterroot Valley..
In the valley looking back toward The St Regis
area ..The pic shows the effects of being in the rain shadow of the mountains and the microclimate in the direction of Lookout pass..
Little Bitterroot Valley farmers! They
are AWESOME in the wind!

Breaking the posts up to
make things easier...
The motel destination. Healing waters!
Built in the 30's ..Nicely renovated..
Get room 6 or 8!
If you want to save $$$, they will rent
you a TeePee @ the camp grounds
across the street!!
BTW, there's a mountain close to
town that's about 7500 feet in ele.
(the town is 2700 ?) so there are
enless XCD and BC possibilities close by..
In the Motel's hot house
which has its soil heated with the
spring water...Pretty amazing and simple!
Very friendly place to stay..I'm the best DPP in the West.

Various ranges and the N
end of Flathead from
Blacktail Mountain..It's
a very friendly, small and
VERY inexpensive mountain..It
has a generally northern aspect
and a lot of it is shielded from the
the effects of sun and wind..There's
plenty of fun..Go for the extreme
BEAUTY of views and the laid back
atmosphere , not the "extreme skiing."
I should have gotten better pix, but hey, we were busy.
There's some really nice tree skiing here..
very open..mellow even though the sign
might worry ..There was a steep
creek bed to get over, but I never saw cliffs..
The snow was crusted early on..LIKE MY NEW JACKET IT IZ TEH WARMZ!
Off to the North, Big Mountain and Glacier..
They are actually not hard to see
from up there irrespective of this
pic..
Sunday, heading back to the St Regis/Lookout
area , and another storm..
The Little Bitterroot and Blacktail Mountain,
they're not Hollywood's Montana.. :lol:I'm the best DPP in the West.

Blacktail is a fun little ski hill.
I used to date a chick from Hot Springs, so I know Alameda's very well.
Cool TR."Zee damn fat skis are ruining zee piste !" -Oscar Schevlin
"Hike up your skirt and grow a dick you fucking crybaby" -what Bunion said to Harry at the top of The Headwaters

Beware , the proprietor has
5 ankle-biting "guard" dogs!!
Here's a map of Blacktail..Virtually
anything you will find around 30 degrees
or more will be @ the first lift ...
BTW, forgot to mention that the
National Bison Range can easily be
included as a short side-trip on the
way to Hot Springs from Lookout/St Regis..

Awesome..Appy why you hate me?
What does the following
formally represent ?
(a . b . c . d ) > q
Hint: it is understood to be
a tautology.. a very important
tautology, central to debate ..
Try again , it's perhaps more clearly
represented by this:
((p > q) . p) > (q) ...
Think now, think!
I,on the other had, will offer all the proofs you need!I'm the best DPP in the West.

Don't let anyone fool you..
Everyone here is on hardpack
the majority of time -- which
might not say much considering how little
a lot of people here actually ski..But who takes
a chopper to the BC every day anyways?
My fattest are 80 --83 underfoot..
But I am kinda broke..
Some day I'll do 100, but not until
I can ski my skinniest (63 mm under) under
all conditions without a flail!I'm the best DPP in the West.

The light was often flat
and often blindingly bright..
enhanced some of them to
try and adjust white balance
before posting..Pix are half luck
and half art; no one will stand
around for long and the person
taking only has so many opportunities
and so much time between them.
Sometimes the best way to mess up a
pic is to keep fooling with it--much like
digital audio..
