We did not get lots of snow this winter, I don't even think we cracked 400 cm, but it has not gone anywhere. Skiing has been quite good lately.

Shames area doin pretty good too. Probed an average of 310cms just below treeline on the wnw aspect of the knowls. Continuous snow to parking lot, prolly about 70-100cms towards the base area. A bit of pepper showing on Hangover...nothing serious yet but that will likely change with the next onslaught of high power solar and heat days if they hit later this week though.

You see those shots of skiers slipping out of the way of the maelstrom like surfers do and I gotta admit I've always wanted to do that and see what it felt like.
That big wet mess would knocked me off me feet for sure and would have probably wrenched the sh*t out of my knee or something. Who knows xxx-er, you might have had a partner for drowning your sorrows.
And speaking of drowning sorrows, you and I and long overdue for a few beverages.

gotta say it was an absolute honour to meet some of you gems over the past few years and follow your exploits, but Ive been reeled back to the metropolis of PG to keep close to the kids.
You guys have something special out there and I hope to make it back soon, maybe for good....

So, the coast had an awesome snowpack this past winter.
Some old schoolerz got up to some old school moves up on Mt. Hays in April.
Really miss those warm spring, after work slush bumps and hucks on Hays days.
Magic.

Smithers folks; any reports on snowline/snowpack obs around Sibolas yet this spring? Hopin' to head 'er up there at some point this sibola season. And not to worry, I'll respectfully give a wide berth around any of yous that prefer not to ski tour in the same mountain range as a freak with no shirt, shoes or shorts if potential dates of skiing interest clash.

You mean Gage Munroe?
Actor | Brotherhood
Gage Munroe was born on January 4, 1999 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor, known for Brotherhood (2019), The Shack (2017) and Hotel Transylvania: The Series (2017).
Not sure what qualities he brings to the table. If I was the GM, I'd buy it and shut it down so that we'd have more skiers come to Shames.
the above statement is untrue and is purely sarcastic bullshit. Please do not reprint this as fact and my true intention Merv Ritchie. I am only having some fun and being a smart ass to my brothers in Smithers
As to Sibolas access:
Jim suggested that it may not be any issue this year. Sounds like him Dave, Keith (and likely Heather) will be down for the pilgrimage. Love to have some company Smithers mags!! I think V and I will make it, perhaps part of a bigger trip with that as the start.
On a personal note, I'm now on the temporary disabled list with a mtb endo ending in a deep nose gouge (glue and steri strips), with double black eye likely. No exertion, sweating or showers allowed for a few days. Fuck I suck, had the full face on the run before. Plan to shuttle another run was changed, and the big grunty uphill planned precluded the use of the full face. Never again!!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
