Well she's pissing down rain in Terrace and below 0 at Kasiks High weather station (1435m), so hoping it's puking at the hill. Heard snow line was just a bit above top of chair yesterday. Hoping to ski Tuesday.

Cheers AP! You guys getting some of this storm up there? I heard it was a bit bleak a few days ago, like Shames.

Oh, and saw the latest TGR movie last night at the REM Lee. Fundraiser for the coop. Good show, damn those guys (and girls) are so on another plane... yikes.

    From zero to hero.

Quite the dump. Over 100cms of snow depth at treeline at Shames.

Bell 2 lodge reporting 200cms of hs at treeline and heard there's around 300cms in parts of the alpine from stewart north.

I love reading stuff like this, then looking at a map of North America. I know it's your backyard up there, but now that I've spent some time driving around BC and appreciate the scale of the place better, it reads about the same as "conditions are shaping up nicely on the Moon."

Skiing conditions were quite acceptable today on the surface of the moon, glademaster.

Dawn patrol @ Shames. It was actually kinda perfect. Mostly sunny sky, a slight hint of wind, cold temps. The storm snow had settled out a bit, was right side up, topped with about 15 cms of light and dry. The midpack supported turns for ultra fat skis, so, a full throttle, no holds barred, stump jumpin', log hoppin', pillow poppin', plunder and pillege fest while screaming like a lunatic was unleashed on one of the black diamonds.

We didn't get 100 cm here but the 30 that fell provided some very nice skiing. Not quite enough tp get the hill open, but fingers are crossed for the new Dec. 4th opening date.

Nice day at Shames today with Swissiphic and our buddy Jaimie. The Swiss one was deep in experimentation mode for his wim hof research. It was a good day for research.

Coming out of the valley after Prayer Flags. Good skiing but for my first 6 turns with one boot in walk mode. Sweet. All pro. Got thrown in the backseat with authority.

Down in one piece. We only saw one other track down her so although we didn't get to open it for this year (and hats off to the opener), we're thinking 2nd and 3rd was OK. Heads up skiing back to the truck, but all in all pretty damn good for first Shames outing of the year, I've seen it way leaner. Nice to ski with the homies in the hood again (if I may be all 'Gansta" for a moment).

2nd and 3rd means we still get a podium finish Gary.

Awesome little outing. It was an honor to ski with the Mayor of Shames back on his tenured terrain.

    With this coming:
    https://www.snow-forecast.com/resort...ntain/6day/mid
And I measured 65cms new just above the top of T. Should be an epic opening Sat. Yipee!

It did get a bit heavy today and Juniors was barely steep enough, but dayem, that some good ski hill base material.
Also things in the BC would be touchy right now. Got a medium (12) CT drop at 65cms.

Skied openning day at the hill with the L-man, hung out with all the usual susdpects, drank the beer and smoked the herb for a strong openning day effort

    HBM also has 65cms

I missed the 65 NEW, perhaps you can capitalize it from now on ?

my bad G and your cock is obviously huger ( metaphorically speaking ) it was good to hang with the L-man again after his 4 yr bike tour, run into the ICk brothers ( Nick and Rick ) and do all the usual things

You just missed hitting rocks and topping balsams in the fog AP

my favorite beer is on tap at the hill ... life is good

OK Mr "low score on the reading comprehension tests". Apology accepted:

Awesome you could spend some quality time with some quality folks. Planning to get there at some point this year and would love to see all those cats. Oh, and you too Al. (and AP and Hutz if possible).

Not sure what's happening in Smiths or east. But it's been snowing steadily here with today skiing like 40cms anyway, and a major nuking forecasted:

    https://www.snow-forecast.com/resort...ntain/6day/mid

If I was you, I'd come here now. Also, 7 day a week operation until Jan 5. That's a nice bonus. Bring fat skis.

edit, my wife isn't home till Jan 8 or 9. Lot's of maggot space.
