help me get my first grow together.
Well the laws done changed! Since the mag collective is always informed I thought I'd throw it out here. Looking for a ski bum grow setup. on the cheap. Got a nice closet that is 4'x2' with a rod to hang clothes. Thinking of attaching a light to that. Going to grow from seeds. What type of light source/ventilation/food do i need for these little babies? any other advice would be pretty awesome too.

Check with your landlord first. They will be able to suggest appropriate wattage and humidity/mold control.

go with 600watts hps lighting for that size space, 3' x 3' would ideal, but u got what you got, i would suggest you could prob rock out without aircooling the hood if u can bring in some fresh air from outside, and i would suggest a 4in intake fan, and a 4 inch exhaust fan atttached to a carbon filter, if u want to avoid all the ventilation just get a standup dual hose ac unit, that should take care of any issues with humidity and heat.....as for food and growing medium, thats personal preference, u looking to go organic,
soil, hydro, hybrid?? coco medium with hydroponic nutes is very popular these days, greats results
lots of watering but it shouldn't be too much trouble with that size space
not sure why u thought u would get lots of imput on tgr, but
icmag.com is probally the best grow forum the web, lots of great resources thereayuh

Shit, electricity to grow might be more expensive than just buying a little weed soon. Power the lights with a stationary bike/generator setup, perhaps?
