Last night I was watching MIDNIGHT SPARES, this quirky Ozploitation flick from the ‘80s.
This cool track played over the end credits:

Sadly, after an hour+ scouring the webz, it doesn’t appear to have been released other than in the film.

However…I did find no less than 3 other quite different, but no less earwormy good versions:

"Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."

More Wood Brothers. On tour now. Git sum.

ps Bandsintown is a really good app if you like live music. It'll scan your music library and make suggestions for you or you can just enter bands you're interested and it notifies you about them and bands it thinks are related. It definitely works well. It just reminded me again about a local-ish Wood Brothers show tomorrow and I can't go but sure wish I could.

That’s the song they played in April of 2006 when I caught the last original tram ride at JH.
It was blasting in the tram cabin and tons of people were lined up on the adjacent ridge cheering the final tram. It was pretty rad.
Every time I hear this jam I fondly I remember getting pelted with snowballs at the top after disembarking.

And speaking of bagpipes, there was a guy rocking some at the top of the Northwest Express lift after last chair on closing day at Mt. Rose this past April.

    Bagpipes are fugging cool!

I saw Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello last night, so here's a Nick Lowe song since it seems like he never gets any respect though he deserves it.

To be honest, I enjoyed Nick Lowe's set better than Elvis' last night.

    Agreed.

And that happens to be my favorite song of theirs, to boot.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

They played at one of our Halloween dorm parties in college and that still is the best show I’ve ever been to. Absolutely epic
