    Nice, Ice.

I saw New Order headline at Merriweather Post Pavilion in late summer 1987.

Got pretty drunk playing hacky sack on the lawn while Gene loves Jezebel opened and danced our tails off when Echo and the Bunnymen hit the stage.

Wore that 'Substance' concert tee to death.

One of my favorite all time shows, just outstanding. The drive home around the beltway was a fucking blur From Columbia, MD. to Fairfax south...

I went to that tour too. Don't remember much... It was somewhere in the SF bay area, I think Shoreline Amphitheater?

This is happening in another month, and I'm going:

Now that's a line up: New Order, X, Echo & The Bunnymen, Devo, English Beat, B-52s, etc.

Definitely quite a lineup. I thought the B-52's were done, though.

They said they're finished touring, but things like their Vegas residency and one - off festivals are still OK, I guess.

I've been reading Bob Mould's autobiography so have been also listening to some of his music. Pretty good book, by the way. I get the impression Bob wrote it with minimal help from a ghostwriter if at all. Quite workmanlike and terse. It doesn't make him sound like the greatest person in the world, but one who also accepts he's flawed and I think that's worth something. I'm finding it quite captivating even though I was only a casual fan of his music.

I went to it at Pine Knob Music Theater outside Detroit. One thing I remember is that I bought the New Order t-shirt with the multi colored US flag and it faded like the first time I washed it!

Very cool interpretation. The first time i heard of him was when it was suggesfed that hd should play at the Jeff Beck tribute concert because he was one of the few that could nail it. Looks like he jas a Beck tribute act now in your hood.
