"Edward the Mad Shirt Grinder" was the whimsical nom de plume of Nicky Hopkins. Hopkins was one of the most unique R&R keyboardists around, playing mostly as a studio musician from 1964 until his death in 1994. In addition to QMS, he played with the Stones, the Who, the Beatles (as a group and individually), Jeff Beck, Jerry Garcia, Donovan, Steve Miller, Frampton and the Jayhawks. He considered himself to be the reincarnation of Frederic Chopin. It starts to really roll around 5:00.
