No idea about Norton, I never knew anybody there personally, just spent a shit ton of money on records like you. One day I was in there and they were playing something that really caught my attention, I was like holy shit who is THIS? Asked the guy at the counter, he said it's the Replacements. I'd never heard of them. He said their first album Sorry Ma... was about to come out in a few days and they had an advanced copy they were playing in the store. Obviously this was something I needed to buy! Still got the original vinyl with the liner notes on the sleeve... Pretty amazing time to be a music fan in Minneapolis for sure.
