It’s a good song. Too bad they attribute it to Curtis; it’s some other dude.

Poor dude isn’t getting his cred, even 30+ years later! It’s one of the worst maskings I can think of. Everyone thinks Curtis wrote that. Great song.

Ya horns too and that singer. They make everyone better in their collabs, even John Legend I think. I don’t watch much tv so i didn’t know they were on Fallon’s show. I heard “the fire” on a bike vid initially. Talented musicians

I like this whole disc. I think their best

    Black Thought is perfection

    The roots classics.

I started following them since early 2000.
Whenever I get a chance, I try to see their concert.
    Their live is amazing.
My favorite was 15 years ago at Austin City Limits.

Yes! When I first heard seed2.0 I played it 10x a day for 2 or 3 weeks. Waaay better than Cody chesnutts original version. Just played that Austin city limits show. Great show. I guess black thought gets the night off. They left out the best song from that album too(maybe the only song from it they didn’t play)

Was lucky enough to see The Roots at Sasquatch in 2012. What a performance. Absolutely incredible musicians that just put on a fantastic dance party. Every time it felt like the set was coming to an end they would launch into another raucous jam, and they must have done that ten times. It was like encore after encore without the downtime. I'd love to see them again, I've always been disappointed that they don't tour more and that Jimmy keeps them locked up in NY. But I also understand how nice it must be for them to not be on the road all the time.

I like the youtube algorithm’s. Went down the garland jeffery worm hole all last week after Iceman’s post(never heard of him he should be huge). Now this week the roots refresh reminds me how much I like them and then lead me to another alltime fave w the beasties. They’re also from the premiere sports town in case you didn’t know
