Josh can't help himself from attacking the commenters.
I almost forgot about his $1000 steep chute ski off from last winter.

Was it $1k for that one too? Didn't he also add travel expenses as well?? My memory may be off on that one though.

I've skied with Josh back in the day... we did road trips to the San Juans.

    That thread is fucking hilarious.

OH SHIT, I just actually read a few pages... He called out someone for a $1000 (plus travel expenses) to do a XC race against him.

Coles notes on quotes from Josh:
"I am about 15 percent slower than when I was racing Cat 1 XC climbing" Post#32
    "I'm a millionaire" Post#33
"I own a 100 acre farm in Northern Vermont" Post#33
"I am autistic and really do not care how other people feel about what I say" Post#39
"I was non verbal till age 5" Post#43
    I cant keep up....

Not impressed. Autistic, millionaire, mtb racing, farmers are a dime a dozen here.

wow, that's quite a thread. Love how the OP is bragging about a KOM from 8 years ago and hasn't even logged 400 mi this year haha..

This is literally a summer version of his “ski pole straps are lethal! / I can ski Vermont death chutes that none of you can” TGR thread - it’s practically word for word from that train wreck. I made it to the end of page 3 before quitting

Road trips with Josh were entertaining discussion wise. He truly doesn't care if you don't like his positions.

He used to race cars too I think.

I’d argue (admittedly as someone who hasn’t met him) that the time and energy he puts into these forum posts suggests he does very much care what people think of him and his positions.

Not even getting into his desire to be proven right publicly (repeated $1000 challenges) and his incessant bragging (check out my Strava KOMs / look at how steep this trail is in the photo of me / I’m a millionaire etc).

Benny, keep reading, he upped the challenge to $10,000 if you keep up with him on his chosen XC trail, as long as you dont use your dropper post!

Hilarious. Someone better get that money in escrow first.

I look forward to seeing what Josh’s winter 2022 callout challenge will be.

I hope you're in quarantine and have some time on your hands (I actually don't wish quarantine on anyone).

I was just posting that...and: yes, it's the same exact thread. Read both and drink every time you read "dropper" and "pole strap." Sorry if you're dead by the a.m.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Got back on the computer for some evening emails/work and flipped over, could only make it to page 3 & 4 before having to pull the plug.

Damian/Highway Star, icelantic skier, greg from AZ, and now BushwhackernotinPAbutactuallyVT, butterflake. There might be more?

Man, Vermont has some special kind of weaponized autism.
Someone oughta check the water up there.

Thanks. I missed that one, will be some nice bedtime reading for the next few days. Looks like it was a Feb '21 thread. In case you missed the sobriety thread I was, um, unavailable then...

Also fwiw I've had the labrum repaired on my right shoulder and am trying to avoid the left - therefore no pole straps.Ever. One of the last straws pulling the trigger for surgery on my right was a dislocation from a mundane bump pole plant. Fuck that noise..

Objectively doesn't mean what he thinks it means, given how much salt he spills the moment someone says anything that doesn't align with him. I'd put it less of "objective autist" and more "just plain self-obsessed dickhead"
