This Just In - Folks on MTBR debate some stupid ass shit

Like how many water bottle cages a frame has from one year to another or between frame sizes.

It really is fascinating to observe while simultaneously annoying as fuck.

Yeah I care about it. Be a real man and mount some pink cages. But really how many does your frame have?

I also us bottle cages, putting me firmly in the toast camp, and pitting me against Catch22 for this and any ensuing arguments for the next several weeks.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I dislike bottle cages and prefer a Camelback. I always knew you seemed like an idiot/jerk.

Bottles/cages rock when it isn't crazy hot/only going for a shortish ride. I've got a little pouch with a co2 setup, mini-tool, spare hanger, car key that gets shoved in a pocket. Nice to ride without the pack some days. I even do it in tighty shorts and XC jersey sometimes!

Oh yeah: anyone in disagreeance is obviously a moran.

I have a cammel back. I have cages (2(blue)). On really long rides I also throw on the fanny pack. I am currently in the market for some pink spandex so I can make sure my kids no longer want to be seen with me.

Did they ever figure out which was better, Clipless or flats?

Anyone ever get a good definition for All Mountain?

Forgot to mention - I have titanium bottle cages. They're bolted to a 26 lb hardtail though, so I'm not sure it helps that much.

I ride frequently, but mostly short. So bottles are easier.

It's really wet here, so I don't have to pack water for the dogs.

How do you mount bottle cages to the dogs?

ONLY when going to do my powerwalking at the mall, and only in the front.

You guys are nuts, bottle cages are only good for littering choppy sections of trail with ejected bottles. Haven't you seen Where The Trail Ends? No one uses bottles or Camelbaks. Drinking water while riding is for losers.

Don't think I've ever had one eject a bottle. Cheapy stainless cage from Performance, many years old.

Pedro's tire lever, co2 cart and inflationy thing, Lezyne mini-tool, spare car and house key, spare hanger, two quick links, a rotor bolt, a couple sorta' medium length m5 and m6 bolts in there. A tube and a little Secy pump on the bike as well. When feeling particularly racerboi-ish, it all gets stuffed into the back jersey pockets. With another bottle if needed.

Until it gets really hot/humid here, or if going for a ride that's going to be under two hours or so, I've no need to bring the pack. Once it gets hot and humid though, 100oz. bladder pack AND a bottle sometimes.

    Belt and suspenders I suppose.

And you're subtly bringing in the 29er thing there as well. Nice touch!

Snowing like mad here not, no way in hell I'm driving anywhere. Gotta' get the dog out to slide around the neighborhood a bit.

May or may not have the fanny pack involved.
