    Speaking of debating stupid shit...

Mike Levy vs. Cam Zink debating whether or not Reno actually sucks. With guest appearances from Cam's dad and our very own Lee Lau. It's entirely entertaining.

This comment was pretty good though: " Can you afford a place up in Tahoe or Truckee? Doubt it. Then welcome to Reno, just like the rest of us."

I'm shocked at the restraint on MTBR after Santa Cruz released a 29er downhill bike.

Maybe plus tires were all part of a longer term plan to get people more accepting of e-bikes.

"gee, this bike/wheels/tires are kind of heavy and slow. Sure would be nice to have a little help getting up those hills."

Wasn't "marathon" being pushed/pitched as some sort of niche awhile back?

I seem to remember that. Maybe it didn't sound cool enough to catch on?

They renamed it: downcountry...and are now selling MILLIONS!

    (and I enjoy Pinkbike commentary).
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I'm totally gluing a chamois to my bike saddle. Maybe even permanently glue some gloves to my grips. The idiotic possibilities are endless thanks to MTBR.

This is great idea for when I'm out riding...and have to drop kick someone...or stop and tenderize meat...or bike golfing...the possibilities are, indeed, endless!

MTBR provides a new level of stupid....

But then you see 1000+ comment threads on TGR of people playing weekend-ski-designer on Praxis skis -- and that's just for one model year!! - and it seems we are pots calling kettles black, no?

I put inserts in my Bibbys so that I can run 2 water bottles. On each foot! Aside from the hydration, it provides bonus damping on chattery groomers.

Good thinking. And if I use red jello, it'll be faster too.

    I'll be honest
I used to troll mtbr pretty good, but the place went downhill pretty hard the past couple years and the fun was lost on me
so I decided to check in and see what was going on over there since i'm boared

well this thing comes up that says my IP address has been banned.................
fuck I've posted like twice in the past year or so over there, maybe my last post, which was tongue in cheek didn't go over to well and the thread was nuked at some point, the OP of the thread was in need of some serious meds and therapy, maybe that was the cause?

I'm not losing sleep or worried, no one seemed to have sense of humor over there anyways and they took mountain biking way way to seriously, I mean whats so hard about going out riding and having fun, some people seemed to find that really hard to do, all those fuckers did was cry about someone who wasn't nice to them on the trail or a horse shitting all over them, or they got piss on their shinny new bike frame and some runner or hiker gave them the stink eye or they got run off the trail by xc racer boy or someone riding fast DH

^^^ Yep, I've been seeing the same thing for the last week. If you refresh the page, half the time you get to see the contents... half the time it tells you you're banned.

There's currently a thread about PED use in local MTB races that is pretty entertaining.
