Do you think that the Yankees made Youk shave his beard, or do you just immediately become an asshole when you sign with them?

It's their rule. Same thing when Captain Caveman signed. It's pretty well known.

PS... Youk has always pretty much been an asshole.

PPS... I should probably put this in the "shit I am thankful for" thread but man how I have missed the chuckles from Don and Remy.

Right? Sitting here with the game on and those guys are just a joy. Very thankful they are right where they are.

You get the NESN? Man, I miss getting all the outtakes when I freelanced for them of those two. Such fun watching games even if they aren't particularly professional

If I didn't sign a confidentiality agreement I would post some gems from Sox Appeal.

    One of my favs:

I can't speak to his personality as a pro but I've met him a couple times when he was playing college ball for Cincinnati and he was always very cool.

Met him again when I was best man in my buddy's wedding and we went to pick up his engagement ring that he bought at Youk's dad's jewelry store - he was in there just hanging with his dad (I think he was with Boston at the time) and was very cordial and even a little joking.

Take that for what it's worth.

I bet tons of players are great people even when they come off as dickheads on the field.

True. Funny though, I usually think the opposite of some players though: some are real dicks even though they come off as genuine on the field and more importantly - in interviews.

Kinda like this guy; hates dogs, kids, and old people.

This is one of my favorite ones...wish this clip went a little longer 'cause it stayed hilarious for like 5 minutes. Still, so funny.

This is for icey. I'm allowed to post this. From season 2, episode 9 of Sox Appeal I cut (won't make sense if you don't know the show). This was stuff actually said on air while the contestants were there and no MLB players are shown so I think I'm OK. Worst that can happen is MLB/NESN pulls the video on youtube.

Those are some classic Don and Jerry banterings... That Sox Appeal was good for a few laughs, too... "cross between Borat and Kramer"... classic!

I sometimes see Remy around his home town... good dog loving dude.

Long season but nice to see Giants take a series from Dodgers. All I have to say to Dodger fans is - 1988...

I'm very surprised with all the love for Don And Jerry, I personally can't stand them anymore. Orsillo is still tolerable, but they should replace Remy with the Eck. Just wait till they come to Fenway and Jerry starts playing with his Wally doll and talking about it non stop, come on you're a grown man. How many times did they talk about how cold it was last night at the game? We get it, it's April and its cold like every other year.

I do love Remy's bars though.

Eck? Come on man. Dude is not funny and he needs a haircut. Besides, for a long time that was a boring-ass game and it was cold as hell. You gotta talk about something.
