It seems like I'm being unfairly restricted from fully participating in the forum, and I'm starting to feel like an outsider looking in. Seeing JI&400 tomorrow in MTL. Anyone else going? We are thinking Chinese Noodles or Korean for dinner beforehand.

All of the Canada shows have been cancelled, just FYI.

My optimistic speculation is that someone might have an undisclosed DUI.
    Hope everyone is OK.

I was optimistically joking, be better than if someone died or they broke up, or something.
Jason’s sobriety certainly appears to be rock-solid.

Just saw this. Is there anyway to buy a ticket to just one show in CDMX or do you have to buy the package with lodging and 4 nights?

Pretty sure package only. There is only one show scheduled with the full band, and the solo show/Q&A is 200 people, only package participants. It’s a bit of a rip off in some ways, but that’s exactly how (and why) they have it set up that way. They haven’t released the venue yet, either.

Ah copy, I can talk my wife into a CDMX trip at the drop of a hat but don’t think we’d commit to the full experience. Get a taco at Los Cucoyos for me.

I’ll be up next weekend. Are you riding or on the IR right now?

Stipe sounds a little weak, but it's a fun pairing regardless.

    PSA: Go See American Aquarium

I was lucky to see American Aquarium open for the truckers last fall. I was not very familiar with them at the time but their 40 min set kicked ass, and blew me away. I walked way that night as a huge fan.
Last night they returned to town as the headliner. This was the best show I have seen in years. They played 90 min of high energy rock and roll then he told heartfelt emotional stories setting up a couple of acoustic numbers.

Brought the whole band out for a one more rocker. Total show length was 2hours without stopping to catch their breath. It might be the best $30 I’ve spent.
Anyway, I noticed they are heading west this fall, so if they are playing anywhere near you don’t sleep on that show.

    Hell to the yes!

Thanks to Xover gifting me the album as I was moving east from UT I saw these guys in NYC in the early 2010s after Burn Flicker & Die came out & I listened to it non stop for a while. They were opening for the Turnpike Troubadors. Holy shit what a show!! This was when BJ, Evan and I were all drinking too much and its a blurry sloppy fun memory but been a fan since.
Evan and BJ got sober and BJ put out a fine solo record

Last year in Sept for my birthday they opened for Drive by Truckers & Old 97s and I think I sang along to every song all 3 bands played. They bring the heat to be right there with those 2 bands.

AA new album is so good.

I love the new album! I’ve been listening to it on repeat.

They also released a live recording on bandcamp from this recent tour. Proceeds go to hurricane hellen recovery efforts.

Cherokee purples is a great song! While it isn’t a perfect comparison to my Midwest experience growing up, it is still pretty close and it sure makes me miss my grandma.

Saw AA, Red Clay Strays and TT at Red Rocks earlier this year. It did not disappoint, the crowd was singing alone to all 3.

Nice! I bet they were. My RCS love is recent compared to the 3 bands I mentioned going back to 04 or earlier
