Can you move budget to S2000 level? Would hold value indefinitely

Or you can mate it with a Celica GT4 engine trans and running gear (if they ever finish it)

Or Twinis with front and rear engines

Buy a fiat for $1k and have someone convert it to electric.

S2000 are great! Hard to find clean examples that aren't riced out. Great driving cars.
I'll reiterate, the e30 convertible. You can find a very nice example for $8-10k. Super fun to drive, quite reliable if properly maintained. There is a reason so many e30 were turned into race cars and are sought after budget enthusiast cars. They handle well, and the straight six is incredibly smooth, has a nice linear torque curve, and it makes a glorious sound zipping around town 20-50mph. Pedals are perfectly setup for easy heel toe down shifts. I have a 944turbo and a 540i/6speed, and if the weather is decent, and I am running around town, it's always the e30 convertible. Highest smile/mile in the fleet.

    sent from Utah.

Gen 1 Boxster should be considered. IMS bearing issues are overblown IMHO but keeps the cost down... '99 is a good year from my research when buying mine used a few years ago. One with some miles would be good because if it was going to blow, it probably would have already. Mine has 155,000.Also sounds dumb but it has great luggage space with the front and rear trunks. Great for running errands around town... I can do a full two week grocery shop for our family of 4 and fit it all in the car, but also nice for weekend/camping trips with my wife. I've driven friends Miatas and S2000 and am always like "Where do I put my shit?"

Cool thanks I'll look into it and report back in the ~near future.

I might pass on the electric Fiat but I appreciate the out of the box thinking.

Wan't looking for it but what do we think about this thing? https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/pt...319471052.html

What's the best way to search for old cars? I put "Boxster" into cars.com and the oldest car that came up was a 2013 and the rest were 2017 and newer.

Unless you're Edd China, I'd run the other way.

Try typing in Miata or MX-5 instead.

Seconded. We've had a Miata and an older Mr2 and the Spyder is alike an eerie combination. Mostly in good ways. Miata and MR2 Spyder both deserve consideration.

Try autotrader and CarGurus, pretty good search & sorting. I like the Boxster idea and some have proactively dealt with the IMS. And once you have one Pcar the entry to the next is super easy and customary. So I’ve heard
