I bet you could get it for cheap now if this is the same car.

Right on, thanks. Given the amount of power it appears you can get out of these motors, I don't understand why people do the 350 LS swaps given the weight difference.`•.¸¸.•´><((((º>`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸.? ??´¯`•...¸><((((º>

Yo Bobby S., day after thanksgiving I’m driving down the road to pick up a pizza and I pass a black 1979-80 Monte Carlo just like the one in your pictures on the side of the highway with steam billowing out from under the hood and the driver pacing frantically on his phone behind it.
I tell my wife, hey there’s a guy on the TRG that’s looking for that exact car to which she rolled her eyes and didn’t reply.
On the return trip 10 minutes later I notice a ton of flashing lights and all southbound lanes shut down as the Monte Carlo was completely engrossed in 25 foot flames. My wife then says “tell your internet ski friends that you know where you can find a good deal on that shitbox if he gets here quick enough”.
So, if you’re interested in a less than showroom quality example, I can point you to the right mile marker.I still call it The Jake.

It's not linear at all.
A 1/4 mile in 9 seconds topically translates to a 0-60 in about 4 seconds, not 2.
An electric motor has max torque at 0 rpm.
Anyway, this car still handle like a pig with a 600 kwh battery.

I don't know of a car that does 0-60 in 4 seconds and still cracks off a 9 second 1/4 mile.
LaFerrari is sub 3 seconds and does a 9.8.
Demon is 2.3 and does a 9 something.
Aventador SV is 2.8 and in the 10s I believe.
918 is around 2.5 somewhere.
Everything is about filling the torque curve early.Last edited by Bobby Stainless; 11-28-2017 at 07:33 AM.

A storied 1954 Jaguar D-type Works (OKV 2) is expected to fetch £9-£11 million at auction in Sotheby's Arizona sale on January 18-19
The third of six works Jaguar D-types to be built at Jaguar's Coventry factory in 1954, this particular car was piloted by Sir Stirling Moss and Peter Walker. It set a speed record of 172.97mph on the Mulsanne straight, then retired with a brake problem after midnight.
OKV 2 continued to be raced at Goodwood, Oulton Park, Aintree, Silverstone and more in the mid-1950s, with drivers such as Bob Berry, Peter Blond, Ron Flockhart, Jack Fairman, Ivor Bueb, and Reg Harris taking the helm of one of the most active D-types of the decade.
