Love me some farm truck! Lambo looked a bit sluggish off the line in that pass, huh?
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

It's a UGR Gallardo, same people built the one I had. 1200 awhp.

It was more in response to knowing the difference, between a 9 and 10 second car.

From a car show the other week. Guy said Pirelli makes something like 100 sets each year.

Scratch-built pro-touring-style truck. The owner designed a hydraulic suspension system that raises and lowers like airbags, except the spring rate and shock travel are constant at all heights. Independent rear, crate LSA (the engine out of the CTS-V), six speed with paddle shifters, what looked like high quality work.

Is 1200 enough to get a Gallardo into the 9s? Did you ever do it? If so, my apologies.

Skip Barber? That's a good clinic, and a good car to do it in.

If you had a little hydrogen peroxide fuel and a spare rocket car, you might be able to see a 400mph, 3.18 second quarter mile. I guess that's fast enough.

I was astounded when I heard that a horse and rider achieved a 20.58 second standing quarter mile some years ago.

I ran out of gas on Route 66 in Arizona one time when it was about 5 billion degrees farenheit. The gas station was only about a quarter mile away, but walking that quarter mile with my gas can felt like walking 15 miles through the red dust during a Mars noon. Context is everything.

Was able to drive and drive in some very nice autos this weekend. The Bentayga is warp speed fast (faster than the 430 spyder and the cayenne turbo S), but does not handle as well. Anyone who calls this unit a glorified Q7, or compares it to anything (other than a turbo s) is severely mistaken, or uninformed). The Shelby Raptor is a very angry truck that eats anything in its way. The McLaren LeMans is so nice and smooth It handles well and is lightning fast. Everything is carbon. It is superior to the 458, but not as nice as the Aperta Speciale (not shown here).
