My boy found one of these in Chicago last Nov with <30k on the cllock that just popped up. He put a deposit on it and when he got there first thing in the morning the salesman told him they had 25 calls on the car that morning. He asked him if there was something special about the car that he didn't know about. Car was priced at $12k. Its in his driveway. Congrats Oft.

Reminds me. I saw a lavender colored McLaren in the big city yesterday. No clue on model, I don't follow supercar culture at all. It was an awesome color.

Got to see this Singer in the wild today and it was nothing short of fucking art.

The in-dash Heuer chronograph is *kiss* so choice.

There are McLarens, like you can go to a dealership and pick a nice color 570s and be on your way. It will go 204mph. (They are a dime a dozen at PC cars and coffee, same with Porsche gt3 etc ). They are cool. But don't really do it for me.
And there is the McLaren F1. In 1993 it hit 240mph. Designed as a road car, it won the 24 hours of lemans outright in 1995 beating factory team prototype race cars.
They only made 106 of them. It wasnt just better than everything else, it blew everything else out of the water.

You'll love it. Very good. The library section was closed when we were there, but is supposedly very good as well.
The next time I have the misfortune of going to Naples, we'll go back. Place is cool.Click image for larger version.

And, the car pictured above appears to be HDK 018 and is arguably the best road-going version of the F1 ever made.

When the F1 came out I remember reading an industry magazine article on the car and estimates for repairs. At a time when common OEM exhaust systems were ~$500, the F1's was ~$14,000.

Not a bad week for P-car spotting round here. First the Atlanta Commission Singer now a Martini-liveried Weissach Edition 918 on the commute home.

I fell into the well again, and the auction for the other street f1 to F1LM conversion mentioned the recent >$80k service at 6000km as a selling point. Nautical levels of $ burning

Its crazy this golden age of hypercars now when you see a 918 on the street vs bitd McLaren struggled to move 60 street versions of the F1

You’re not wrong. ATL is home to one of the biggest cars and coffee events (Caffeine and Octane) and it’s even live televised on Motor Trend, so the level of supercars has never been a surprise.

It’s when you see them out and about like it’s nothing that really knocks your socks off.

For every broke ass aspiring rap star driving a clapped out leased Rolls there’s a one-off Ferrari 812 Superfast.

Or as I saw today, a nearly $2MM 918 Hypercar just heading towards Chick Fil -A

The adage is true sometimes: Atlanta is not a real place

When I was rontele I delivered pizza to a guy who put the boxes on the wing of a 956, because I guess it was the lesser of vehicles in the shop at the time. The 959s were still questionable, but that’s an outlier. There’s just so damn many sales now, when bitd the only one to break 1k was the f40

Another reason to dislike Patrick Reed.

He or someone he allowed to drive this stunning Masters-themed GT2 RS completely binned it with less than 500 miles on the clock.

    Fucking idiot.

Lots of interesting Pcar news this week.

Jerry Seinfeld added to his impressive Porsche collection by buying the $1.3M 996 Classic Club Coupe (1 off done by Porsche Special Projects and PCA) at Porsche's 75th anniversary bash in ATL earlier this month; definitely one of the coolest 996s ever.

And Singer has a new DLS Turbo; the 934/5 (needs to be in Jägermeister livery though)
