A manufacturer produces a street legal 9 second car and you peckers look for any excuse not to like it.

American muscle isn't about refinement and people will pay a large sum to do it and it rarely depreciates. Think NHRA and NASCAR.

Just some quick notes to catch up with you fellas:

    - The Demon is a bad pharma rep car with 800hp and the same tires. I HATE non-turning "American performance" (for the contra see: C7, CTS-V, etc)

    - our 996 is paint to sample. "Champagne". It's glorious but I'll see myself out.

    - AKR is from a Chrysler family. I'm starting to connect some dots here.
I still call it The Jake.

A 911 in old man tan is an interesting choice. Beaded seat cushions?

You must have me confused with another high functioning alcoholic TGR attorney.

But if you want to make something more out of a good natured jab ok; I'm more than happy to point out that I'm much younger, prettier, and my prep school whooped the shit out the dandies at yours routinely - most notably in lacrosse, and that my last Chrysler product, in fact my very first brand new car - a 94 5.2L Grand Cherokee Limited died in a ball of fire of its own making.

    So bottoms up ol boy!

Well...I hope you at least brought marshmallows to the pyre of that Grand Cherokee. It's always important to get a little good out of something bad, they say. Remember John Candy's burnt to a cinder LeBaron convertible in Trains, Planes & Automobiles?

Not really true vs population gains specifically.

Re: Dodge Demon... Who, in their right mind, gets upset about the availability of a 9-second car straight off the showroom floor, with most modern creature comforts, with modern running gear, and with warranty that even covers using it the way it's meant to be used? This thing is going to be a monster once the aftermarket gets ahold of it. Add a cage and go.

They keep saying that we've reached the golden age of performance automobiles, and they continue to get better. Please, go out and buy these things so they don't quit making everything but the self-driving appliances.

0-60 in 2.28 seconds. Less than a second off the Demon 1/4 mile time.

Yep. Self driving appliance with self-contained bomb. You won't catch this guy sitting on top of a lithium ion battery bank that big. Also, 9s vs. 10s. Huge difference if you've ever done it.

It's 9.65 to, 10.38 I believe. I'd rather have a 5 seat sedan, than the latest burn out, cars and coffee special.

I'm sure you have more experience, than I. Ill just be quiet.

Yeah, 9 second quarter is one thing a Gallardo definitely will not do.
