Spent yesterday riding bikes in the Chilcotin range in BC. Decided to spend today fishing on the way back to whistler. I found some pretty vague info about the Bridge River and it was right on the way so decided to give it a try. Holy shit, I'm not sure if these fish had ever seen a fly before. They went after everything I put in the water: dry flies, nymphs, streamers. They didn't care and they didn't seem to get spooked at all either. Didn't see a single other person all day. I did keep looking over my shoulder for grizzlies though. I think I caught somewhere around 15 fish. Unfortunately didn't have the cell phone handy for the biggest one of the day, this guy took 2nd.

Some randoms from that creek that inspired my 2/3 weight thread.

Lots of crossings required. Note the landscape is conducive to throwing down a tent or air pad.

    A fishy little stretch

Campsite. Big Agnes Q-core FTW. Buddy on the Z-rest didn't sleep well.

Not a bad view to wake up to

    Lots of these guys

    One last photo

Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

Last weekends rain brought the water up enough for an after work float last night. Dad with the biggest brown I've ever seen from the Animas...

Yeah that blacktip got the chop, it was bleeding from the gills and looked liked it had hammerhead teeth marks. 99.9% of the time we tag them for NOAA and release them unless it looks like they will not survive.

It was also Danny's first shark and he wanted to surprise his son, a hudge shark fan with the jaws for his birthday. I always hate seeing these great creatures die but I would feel worse sending an injured shark back out to die a slow death.

    Yeah. That's the spot.

    There's no fish there.

Glad you got a kick out of it, but my personal feeling is that posting specific info like trailheads doesn't do a cool spot any favors. Could have just shot me a PM. An edit wouldn't be a bad idea.

Edited, not meaning to leak any secret spots. I've fished there a number of times, just surprised to see it pop up.
