Yeah...I need to find a way to get some salt fishing in. So much fishing, so little time. Roo, looks like those micro eggs were working again! Where were some of those guys when we went? Guessing more a reflection on the guy in the front of the boats fishing skills :-)

Those pics are all from the week after we went. I went again with some buds. Water was super clear, clearest I've ever seen down there. We got lucky. I don't think we landed a fish from the front of the boat, though. All the nice ones were from the back or wading. True to form, I landed one butt-hooked fish.
Week and a half till salty time for me. Hoping for good weather.

I am sure you are getting stoked. Good luck!
That river is certainly becoming a world class fishery. Fun to watch it recover after whirling disease. That rainbow was sick."We had nice 3 days in your autonomous mountain realm last weekend." - Tom from Austria (the Rax ski guy)

Yup. Made it up to Wyo last Wed. Fishing was slow but a few nice ones were put in the net.

Glad to see you didn't get skunked despite conditions. Did you get any wing shooting in?

Yep. Shot some ducks one morning. Mallards, teal, pintails, widgeon, gray ducks.
Took one photo.

Glad some of you enjoyed the bonefish pics. Wish I could make the pics bigger, but here are a few more. Sorry for the poor quality the last two were taken with a crappy camera phone that I since gave the float test.
As it turns out, my wife got a new job in Montana so I'll be using my strip set on trout after finally quitting the trout set on bones a just few years ago. Ha.

Hey telendaboat, what brand are those baby carriers? I just got one from Kelty.
I've heard good things about the river remodel down there.
Just went to Carl's down by the fly shop the other day. Good food and beer. Cute waitresses. I approve.

Sorry guys, should have started the new thread. The carriers are dueter and osprey. The dueter kick sand broke, but it was the more comfortable of the 2. Still using the osprey, but it is having a hard time fitting a 3 yr old with ski clothes on.
Haven't been to the tailwater since the changes. I've heard that they have only like 4 access points open so if not there early you are out of luck. I guess they are trying to protect the new grasses they put down...
I've had meh experiences at carls so far. But one of my good friends is one of those cute waitresses. Let me know the next time your in town, we should fish.
