I'm a little behind on my trip reports, but I do have some photos of our last trip to Broken Top! This line is called A la Mode. Need to take a photo of it from farther away (Bachelor or Tumalo) so it can be fully appreciated!

This is a great (fast, easy, don't have to take off your pack) ski carry that I learned from Erik after his AMGA course:

A la Mode is the line on the right side of the mountain in the light:

    Nice Broken Top stoke.

We drooled over the lines on the east side on the approach from Tam:

Bachelor sure was good this week. Friday was one of the better pow days this year.
(No action shots since I was solo, and yes, I know there's a separate Hood/Bachelor thread)

just spent three days up in the area skiing garfield, broken top and thielsen with nacho, linds-o-rama, and her man. great conditions (way better than tahoe right now) and great skiing.
crater lake, it was soooo hard not to do this

but i was already doing this, which is also frowned upon

broken top - time to change our plans

new plans worked out ok - linds-o-rama

their plans didn't work out, so they backed off

thielsen - we were very near to giving up when this appeared before us

more pictures as well as footage on powdork.com.

Damn, just came here to get me a little volcanic stoke and it's all hammering on Tap. Hey, for the record - my new beacon is also much more bulky than the last one

Way to get after it southern folk!
    Greetings Tap!

Keep your eyes open for this setup around the ski areas and sno-parks of Oregon... you'll find some crazy ski people inside!

Not sure if this qualifies as volcanic, but these are down the road from Bachelor! You won't find any terrain like this on that volcano...

i called the county clerk in roseburg and sent them a picture of my snopark permit next to the ticket (that he stuck under my windshield wiper above my permit) via snailmail so i hope it just goes away although i haven't heard or received anything from them. i can only assume the copper didn't know our permits were good there and vice versa. otherwise, next time i'm up there (and we're about out of snow down here) i'm gonna have to obey the traffic laws and i can't stand for that kind of nonsense. i also got pulled over in susanville on the way home because the red tape that covers one of the broken tail lights had eroded.
but none of that compared to the snomocop with the goProdilDo. i soooo wished I had my helmet on at the time to capture that epicness. "So is this a social visit, or...."
