I forgot to mention that my reading about the water-filled boots thing was about logging history back on the 1800s, when camps were remote and pretty convenience-free.

I’m sure it was miserable…and no power equipment either.

I got my first nice watch last Christmas, a Seiko Prospex Diver. Just broke it, gonna send it in. Looking at my first expensive watch now, although it might take me a couple months to save for something like this.

Do I go Tudor or Omega, or something else?

I’ve had my eye on these MoonSwatch “Mission to ________” watches since they were announced cause they’re totally fun.

That said, people ruin everything and the hype beasts bought em all up and have em on eBay for $400-$1,000.

No thank you, I’ll just enjoy my actual Speedmaster instead as you idiots pay 2x+ what they retail for.

Then last night I saw one of the three MoonSwatch tours going on around the US is stopping in my city and close to my house. Had to go check it out.

After a long wait and hearing the rules (1 per, may be out of this and that, supply is randomly stocked…) picked up the Mission to Pluto and it’s exactly as advertised, a really fun watch (wanted Neptune, but sold out).

Nice watch bmills. IMO Omega's are definitely one of the best bangs for your buck in the luxury watch category.

I can see the Mission to Uranus becoming a cult favorite in the gay community.

I probably wear my stainless Speedmaster more than any other watch. Gets compliments all the time, which is nice, but more importantly I love the way it looks on my wrist and how it is a really cool piece of engineering.

Hodinkee.com had an article announcing the tour and Omega/Swatch doesn’t post cities or dates on their websites so I started following Swatch’s Instagram page and they left Miami and Jacksonville the other day so I figured they’re heading north. Last night I saw on their IG story they announced ATL and their next stop in CA.

As a newcomer to the watch thread, has Patek Philippe come up? (searched and got nothing) My buddy - who makes a lot more money than me - just got one and it's a beaut, Clark.

And for that aggression, many freshman dorm residents will feel his wrath.

Wait till he gets relegated to club lacrosse.

Ha. To be clear, he's relatively loaded but as lowkey as it gets and his wife bought it for his 50th birthday... it is pretty nice, however.

That's the look he has after he's jacked the watch out of dad's dresser and used it to pay for a bag of blow from some skeezy dude uptown.
