Aftermarket running boards on a Subaru?
You know, those step up things that people have on their big bad trucks. Just bought another Subaru Forester ( the race is on for the best lesbian joke), and, they've raised the roof just enough that it's a pain getting into my box up on the rack. Instead of opening up the back door and stepping up on that thing and crapping up the interior, I'd like an exterior step. Subaru doesn't make one. What are the good aftermarket companies, and, are they easy to install? Rust may be an issue, too.

Maybe check with a woman's self help group....there should be enough Lesbos inbedded there and they can tell you everything you need to know to pimp out your forester.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

Well, that didn't take long. Now, has anybody put a pair of these on any car?

Nope we're all men. Not little bitches too short to put our skis on the roof. I might pitch in some cash just for the lulz.
Little plastic stool? Sorry this in tech talk.
How did you think this thread would go?

never mind the lesbaru jokes que the midget jokes
buy a cheap plastic step stool, they are also good for sitting on while you are messing with boots or relaxing with a beer in the P-lot

We need pictures of this road machine when the new boards are installed. Dont forget the bumper stickers, Wellstone is always a good one to start with and of course COEXIST.

Why not just stand on the tire? Or the door jam?
But, for real, don't put running boards on your car. That would be like putting a ski rack on a convertible boxter.

This could perhaps be a solution.

Or you could drop the Forester a couple inches:

Ha. I was living in North Jersey for a year a little while ago, and there was a local white kid that just stopped me in my tracks when he drove by with his hat turned sideways. Totally blinged Forester. I was stunned. Very wrong. Only in Jersey.

Milk crate.
Then you've also got somewhere to store your crap in your car and a seat to sit on and change your boots.
I thought only people from Saskatchewan put running boards on cars?

Stand on the tire. I'm 5'4" and can put skis on a Toyota 4Runner, im sure you and your partner can work together to figure out how to put skis on your car.

I've seen that guy, he was running boards on a Buick with sask plates ... must be a cultural thing
If the OP has probs getting in the box DON'T hang on the edge of the box while will fishing around for your skis, I have had the edge of a thule box crack with a loud POW! at -18, ski boxes are actualy pretty fragile but easily fixed with epoxy & drywall mesh tape

Benny, is your box centered right-to-left on the car? If so, have you tried sliding it all the way to the right?
