Wow, just an amazing piece of writing and it makes me respect her even more if that's possible. Fair warning, this just wrecked me for a few minutes so probably not best to read before you have to go into a big meeting or something.

The GOAT collected another rain deer for her herd today.

Back to back in Levi this morning. She looked drained on the post race interview.

Feel a little bad for Holdener, she blitzed the second run but again a bridesmaid.

Simply amazing skiing. Ski Racing Media called her second run “near perfect” and it hard to see what perfect would be in comparison. That was flawless. That was racing; that ballet.

Interview yesterday, she said her skis feel amazing, her team is awesome, and that she feels mentally and physically great. It’s going to be a fun season to watch.

Also, really cool fact. 20% of the second run qualifiers were Americans and Canadians. That is a pretty cool stat for a sport that has been so dominated by Europe.

Sunshine's Instagram is a must visit. Impressive young lady!

Haven't watched today's race but still shockingly impressive when Mik pulls off these wins.

^Dayum. Have to wonder if we'll see her on the WSL at some point too.

After 30 slalom podiums, Wendy Holdener finally breaks through and wins (ties!). Mikaela is 5th.

Good for Wendy. Glad for her. Excellent first run by Shiffrin. We wait to watch 77; it will come.

In other US Women’s ski team news, Nina O’Brien is back on the circuit after a compound tib-fib Fx and a partial mcl tear at Beijing. The docs in China did her no favors…

A good downhill weekend of a 5th and a 4th. Still sitting in first for Overall.

I see Vlhova DNFed but can’t find any further info. Anyone watch and know if she is Ok?

No fall. Just skied out. Nothing exciting. GO SOFIA!!!

"Goggia raced with a plate and nine screws inserted in the swollen left hand that she fractured in two places on Friday, and also had makeshift holes cut into her glove.

She still skied a typically aggressive run on the full-length Corviglia course and won the race by 0.43 seconds, her 11th victory in the last 16 World Cup downhill races she has competed in."

Win No. 77 in the St. Moritz Super-G!
Goggia came in fifth, skiing again with her left hand taped to the pole.
