I'll bet the PSIA goofballs would love to pick apart Kye Peterson's technique too. Dude rotates his upper body and shit. Needs to do like, 1000 dolphin turns if he wants to be any good.

I remember seeing something written by Harald Harb (remember him maggots, he did not appreciate our sense of humor) about how Ligety could be a really good skier if he coached him

Moles is well known for even ski pole tug. Much to his credit. Drills and technique.

Gordycamps were awesome. I still think hands up, forward and face down the hill, usually works. Gordy, Moles, Greener, and others, great coaches. Too bad the camps are no more.

Funny to see the ski area slams in a thread about Shiffrin.

No one is slamming ski areas here. You don’t understand the backstory...

Wow I thought this was a thread about one of the worlds best skiers?! Silly me, I forgot. This is TGR and the subject frequently devolves into a testosterone fueled pissing match that has little to do with skiing. My BAD

God I hope Shiffrin win in Lienz on the 28th or 29th and we get talking about ski racing again.

Idk, catching bushwhacka in that lie, and his ensuing edit and bail was fucking amazing.

Ya, even though I feel I’ve provided some good insight on World Cup racing in this thread, I’ve also enjoyed the self destruction of Bushwacka.
I can’t wait to chat with some colleagues, in the race world, who work at Stowe and let them know this instructor is trying to pass himself off as a sub 100 point racer.

Agreed. That the edit was too late is beautiful. And the fact that his lie occurred at the same time he was lecturing about objective facts was supreme ironing.

I feel like it would have been worse to allow his advice to the worlds most dominant skier go unchecked.

Did you watch the race? Yes, there was a jump in the Dual slalom.
There was carnage. Anyone catch the men's Dual, GS from Italy. That was gnarly.

I love dual events. They're so entertaining.

I wish they'd do more, but lower the points for winning to 50 instead.

The length and G-ratedness of this thread is evidence of an "epic" migration of barking bears to TGR. Instead of a separate thread they need their own sub-forum. Label it PSIA/FIS/USSA and they will naturally gravitate to the new sub-forum.

That's actually a brilliant fucking idea.

Why do you want to lower the point awarded to the winning athletes? To do one traditional race with only 2 SL runs you win 100 points.
In a Pararel Slalom you have to race a qualification run, and win 5 more runs to get your 100 points? I thinks that fair?
I dont agree that you should get 100 points for a win at the City Events, but thats a totally different topic of Parallel Slalom Vs City Event.
That should be saved for the FIS/Race subform.

More pages of edgy humor about her boyfriend, or whatever else, may not have been better.

A place for ski instructors to say she doesn't lift her inside ski already exists.
