Nice deal, bummer that most of what I'm looking at is out of stock(normal long underwear seems to be instock, but not the underwear I was seeing)

Softer. Yeah sounds easy to just say that but I/O can back that up with being manufactured by one of the worlds largest wool handlers.

The yarn was spun by a low torque patented technique that makes it softer and more durable.

You must be size medium. Yeah boxers are sold out in that size. The 3/4 tights in a large actually fit a touch small. If you are a standard medium the large tights will fit fine.

I wear a 32 pant and medium in the boxers but go large in the tights.

^ I have i/o long johns, mec lj's, smartwool lj's, stoic tops, and an icebreaker mid weight. The i/o is softer than than any of them. I wear my i/o lj's every day, no holes, no stretching, no thinning- I've been wearing them for 2-3 years. My guy wears his i/o tops every day, same. He wears his more than me, for outdoor work, and isn't gentle with them at all.

I just got some stoic tops (150 and 200 weights) in the mail. They aren't as soft as i/o.

My mec lj's are new, I've washed them once and they already look like they want to pill (they are soft though). My i/o's are still smooth. They look like new.

My icebreaker I don't wear next to my skin, so hard to say on the itch. It's a zip neck and I don't get itchy on my neck, where I do with wool scarves.

My smartwool lj's have totally stretched out and have various holes in them.

    I treat everything the same.

I'm tempted to return the stoics I just got and get some i/o stuff instead!

I'd love to see some thicker i/o stuff, a midweight I can wear over my thin ones. I like that morning after jacket.

I bought some IO last year, other then the fact I find it a little cooler then Icebreaker (the stuff I bought seems to be slightly thinner then my comparable Ice Breaker), it does feel softer and has worn well. One of the short sleeve shirts became my riding shirt during the summer so its taken a few falls, handled them about as well as cotton does.

Can anyone guide me with sizing (men's sizing)? I ordered a medium based on Canadian site's sizing (which differs from the Australian site). I purchased a medium Contact 1 zip top (I'm about a 39 which is what it said on the box despite the 38 sizing written on the Canadian size). It fits alright but not skin tight like I would have liked. I'm looking at getting tights. Small Icebreaker leggings fit me perfectly. I was worried that if sizing is on the large side that the smalls may be looser than I care for. But now I saw the comment that the bottoms are on the small size. Any thoughts? I'm interested in the Contact 1 tights. I'm usually a 30 or 31 in pants but almost always fit 28-30 sizing in underwear/tights. Thanks.

sorry, my tights don't have the size printed on them. they don't stretch out much, but they do have stretch. I'm around your size, if my tights are medium I could probably also do small for a next-to-skin layer (which is what mine are). I have some medium track pants and they fit bigger than I'd like. (this is all women's sizes)

they are out of everything I ordered, bummer.
