    TR: Full Moon Pow

A small system turns into a larger system and sets the stage for a surprise human POWered day in North VT.

Woke up to 4 degree temps in the valley we knew it was going to be a day to stay on the move. A lot of vert covered, a lot of cold pow skied, a lot of smiles all around.

    Sunrise over the Playground

    Early Ups

    High Anxiety Surfin

    Heading for another lap

    Seems good to me

    It was really good

It got dicey in spots but High Anxiety made the most of it

    There is always meadow skipping

1 more late afternoon low angle lap, we had been waiting a long time for this, had to milk it.

Most excellent early season pow day, given the limited terrain available

Weekend trip to Smugglars Notch back in the '80's is my only ski trip to Northern Vermont. Watching all the stoke you guys bring with your snow catcher mountains makes me want to find a way to get over there.

So good to see real snow accumulations. Last February was a long, long time ago.

killer start to the NVT powder skiing season. doesn't get much better than an EC sleeper november blower pow storm... except when you're getting face shots under a full moon with alpenglow painting Mansfield's chin in the distance.

    aaahoooooo.... powder fever!

Smuggler's Notch, I fucking miss you. I sit here in purgatory as I await my western exodus, but I really wish I was still in Vermont.

Leaving early Sunday. Driveway got plowed over the weekend, no need to risk a sheet of ice. Forecast looks to improve starting Wednesday going into the weekend. Buddy of mine is coming up for 5 days as well.

Good to get a pow day out of my system, I needed that. Glad we got it when we did also. Hopefully Winter will have returned by the time I get back from the Sierras. Things got a litte warm and washed out yesterday. No more snow at my place this morning....
