Hit Red Shed in Cooperstown NY last Thursday. Very cool place and their stout was very good in my opinion. I trust you can tell which one it is in the flight

ABV 8.5%. Brewed by my buddy that won a contest and helped brew his recipe at Rutland Beer Works.

That head looks kind of funny- too bubbly or something, almost like you might have a little secondary fermentation. Did it taste right or was there an overly carbonated taste?

Friend won a homebrew contest with his Belgian Stout. He was able to brew a batch at a local brewery as his prize.

My dad dropped off an early Christmas present tonight. Swift as Molasses Stout from Copper State out of Green Bay. I'm probably going to have a headache tomorrow and be a bag of shit at work but it's worth it.

Don't know what to tell you guys; It's got great coffee and chocolate notes, and smells of fresh ground coffee. Works for me.

That may be beyond its lifespan. Even had it been in a temp controlled environment.

    That said, try before discarding!

I bet it's still very good. It's certainly going to be drinkable.

Maybe. 5+ years is asking a lot even when existing in a proper cellar. It will be interesting I bet but a shadow of its former self. Perhaps the redonk abv favors the situation.

I had a 2015 (?) like two years ago and tasted the age. Drinkable tho, yes
