2013-2014 Gear Rumors What you got
So I was at the shop at lunch and Saw Next years Bentchetler same ski but a great graphic no smart phone or I would have got a pic. Things Ive heard so far TBT will be put in the tips of the Elan Boomerang and some other skis. Also a Krypton Pro with a walk mode. And a redesign of the S7 from Rossi.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Verb61 was talking about that. Proto's with tech soles have been spotted in the wild apparently.

New boots for scarpa (in the freeride section) and sportiva (reported to be very innovative). I personally can't wait to see them...

Aside from the new K2 branded Lange and the look branded Guardian/Tracker?
Hellbent is taking a long overdue path dow the way of the dodo.
K2 outerwear will be out, with goretex. Race between them and Salomon to fail to learn from rossignol's mistake and become the burton (do everything) of skiing.
Blizzard posted a crappy Instagram photo on FB earlier this week, looks like a narrower Gunsmoke will be available. I am slightly hoping for a bodacious/cochise w/ Kabookie construction.
Willing to bet that the Baron follows into the Duke wider foot print.
Atomic has a new boot coming out marketed towards freeride (no walk mode) that will essentially be a Hawk lower w/ redster upper (carbon) and some other details I forgot.

Just say what you described on the atomic boot but with the walk mode in a 130 flex.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Tabke has been posting on his Facebook page about working on a new ski with Praxis
Definitely looking forward to seeing what comes out as presumably an addition to the Protest. Can't see Keith replacing it as it has such a strong following

Volkl has two new skis coming that are a 5 pt (?) design, with a combination of rocker and camber and maybe some tip and/or tail taper. Waist widths approximately 114mm and 124(?)mm. That's all I know, but we should start to see some mid winter. Supposedly these will be a different idea from what Volkl has been doing, but most of the classic models will still be available too (except Kuro, I wouldn't be surprised if that one is gone.)

look for a ski from 4frnt similar to the hoji and renegade but with smaller dimensions to tighten the turn radius
If you can't dig it, you ain't got no shovel

2nd that Rossi will have redesigned S3 and S7s... also was told there will be a Rossi-branded Guardian, so makes sense that there would be a Look version as well. Along that line, Salomon is pushing to license it's "Walk-to-Ride" AT soles (lugged, non-rockered, with a hard plastic AFD plate) to other manufacturers to fit in the Guardian.
Can confirm that the Guardian heel will be on the new STH bindings. Have heard nothing about changes, if any, to the toe.
Scarpa freeride boots have been announced, but I have no details.
I also heard a very wild and very secondhand rumor of a new binding from Dynafit... 16-DIN, with elasticity in the toe. Sounds like it could be a complete game changer if real.
All BD skis in the Power line (Amp, Megawatt, Element, etc.) will have sidewalls. No more cap construction. Gigawatt goes away.
Not quite as exciting, but new ski packs are coming from Gregory.
This has been discussed in other threads, but for airbags, the Snowpulse brand goes away entirely and everything will now be branded Mammut. The former "Lifebag" line will now be called "Protection" and will be removable/swappable between several pack models. RAS packs and Protection packs are not compatible with each other though, so you have to pick a system and stick with it. The current Protection 18L RAS pack will be renamed to avoid confusion.
