Note to TGR: Dream Factory Soudtrack

I've picked up every TGR movie over the past 10 years or so and have been a huge fan. The soundtrack in the Dream Factory, however, is horrible and it really detracts from the film. Stop trying to play hip music in movies b/c by the time the movie makes it to the general public we're already sick of the top-40 type stuff you edit to. At the rate you're going, next year's film with have taylor swift and justin beiber.

Top 40....? Are you drunk? In your infinite wisdom, name us all of the top40 songs on this soundtrack, and we can also look back in a year too, so you can show us how all of them have gone mainstream....

I actually really enjoy the soundtrack - I think there are few pretty 'out there' songs, but I can appreciate some variation other than a rock song here, the standard oldie there...

If you don't like it - mute it on put on your favorite tune... probably something like this:

maybe it's just me, but complaining about the tunes in a ski movie is akin to complaining about the dialogue in a porno.

    step one: Mute player
    step two: Select favorite music
    step three: Press play
step four: Stop being a douche.

Going to have to agree with Pablo Escobar. I actually liked the soundtrack. Something different for sure.

winning. i thought overall it was a pretty solid mix, not as dubsteppy as everyone was saying.

exactly, i don't know what the deal is with everyone bitch about it . it was great. Revolver was the biggest culprit for dub stepping.

Maybe the OP should get together with the person who was bitching about all the dubstep and take a "Musical Identification For Old Douches" class. I'm sure the local community college has something. They could carpool and listen to old Warren Miller soundtracks together.

    I disagree - completely.

I didn't like the soundtrack for the Dream Factory at all - but not for the reason the OP said... no idea what he's talking about. It's more like a boring onslaught of electronic music, which can be good if you're selective about it. Further had a good soundtrack, however.

I muted it when I watched it. Electronic music generally makes my ears bleed.

I think the point of this thread should be: to each, his own.

Some people enjoy new/different music. Some don't.

It's pointless to call The Man out for it though just because you have different tastes. One could post a thread calling you out for being narrow minded when it comes to music, Or calling out the guys for using the same old stereotypical ski movie tunes if they hadn't tried something new. Both of those would be just as ridiculous though.

Soundtrack was fine I thought. Not the best ever but not bad.

Bad would be Nickelback, Black Eyed Peas and Skrillex.

WM always had the carnival music during the chairlift gaper steeze portion.

I thought it was really good - Sage always seems to pick some crazy tunes that go perfect with his style (assuming they let him have a say in his own segments at this point)
