Yes, I posted in polyasshat previously and passionately; and I kept it to polyasshat. Then I came to the realization that this is a ski webforum...its too bad you haven't done the same.

Biglines.com is a blank slate. Me and the rest of the mags who are sick of this decrepit site, can shape Biglines, and make it whatever we want...while we watch tgr turn into a money grabbing political site. I'll be over there, with several other mags, if anyone wants to talk skiing.

And my "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem" contribution is that I've been wanting to put together a ski edit for a few years, I have a concept in mind and have been trying to get thsi together for about 4 years now, but basically, if anyone needs someone to tour with or resort with, I'll be your photo video pig. I'm looking to amass footage this winter for a project I'd finally like to execute called "Seasons Pass".

DBT had started to paste links to his various political threads in the other forums. He was doing so in threads having absolutely nothing to do with politics, and in forums that were not polyassshat.

I have no problem with the leaking anal fissure that is DBT, smearing his puss and feces in poly asshat. But it should be kept in polyasshat. He can generate clicks for Todd and Steve in there. Making them money on clicks, and not really infecting the rest of the forum.

Like I said in my OP: He needs to be kept on a short leash and in polyasshat. When he starts spamming the rest of the forum with links to his threads in polyasshat, his leash needs to be yanked. If he takes his political shit flinging anywhere outside of polyasshat...tg420r should ban the cunt immediately, as in those cases DBT is killing their business by driving away skiers.

Like I said, almost everyone I know has left tgr because of the polyasshat DownboundTrain style bullshit infecting the forums. Many others of those I know laugh at tgr, and see it as a bunch of ridiculous retards eskiing,...but then, to quote Hugo "We can't all be good." They see it as a good place to pimp their shit and make money, but wouldn't actually post, as they see this part of the "industry" as pretty pathetic.

I try to tell them that there is good stoke and good things that come out of tgr that don't have to do with the money aspect of skiing, that don't have to do with the jacking each other off and jizzing about who's better than who, and don;t have to do with which Dynastar/Look/Lange product you just bought to add to an arsenal of the other Dynastar/Look/Lange products that you already have.

I'm making the argument that there is actually skiing stoke here. It just seems, for the last few years, that argument I'm trying to make to them is an ever increasing, uphill slog, as this place gets caught up in shit that doesn't have to do with stoke, let alone skiing.

I know all of this is ironic, given that the post that brought me back is a trailer of a sponsored ski flick (although, thankfully, the teaser was low on sponsor stuff, hopefully UnicornPicnic will keep it about the skiing and the awesome athletes, and not make a giant commercial)...but it seems that it captured exactly what is missing here on the tgr forums.

Montana does NOT 3 separate threads clogging up more important AND RELEVANT stuff.
The Lease Coast does NOT need 4 separate threads about skiing on rocks and grass.
Same applies to Colorado, PNW, Interior BC, Exterior BC, etc.

I don't put anyone on ignore, shouldn't have to ignore political posts outside of polyasshat; ie. the poly posts should be kept in polyasshat. This wasn't happening.

because the last time this was discussed, if i remember correctly, for every mag saying 'put them in the conditions thread', there was another mag saying 'they have daily ski stoke, leave them in ski/board'. Lol. That's one thing I forgot. The filming I/we want to do this season will be with a 7D, 50D (ML), and 60D, with L glass. Minimal POV.

It's understandable that you guys have your pet peeves with this site, everyone does, and it's even maybe understandable if they just ruin your experience SO BAD that you have to go somewhere else...

But it would probably be better if you just stepped back and realized that these gripes are just not that big a deal. You don't have control over anybody else and the mods shouldn't take action just because you don't like something.

If one wants to be a part of the solution, then one posts threads about skiing, reads and posts in threads about skiing, and bumps threads about skiing. If that was what one did, I really doubt DBT would be on one's radar.

I think some seek him out because they have a spirit of unrest that seeks to relieve itself through conflict, and then blame him for their inclination to participate in exchanges with him.

Ignore works quite well. Every time I see an ignored post by Spook, I feel comforted inside, knowing that the toxin will not reach me.
