Hope the closing day was a good one. I had plans to be there - even had the plane tickets bought - but had a situation come up that forced me to stay home.

Although the season ended with a whimper, January and February were good for me. Looking forward to next year already. It was great this year to ski again with BobMc and MacDaddy. Meeting Tresckow, Kristin, Woodsy, Iceman and others for the first time this year was great too. I hope to see everyone again next year.

Woodsy and Trecksow - will you be back at the Inn next year? What about this summer - the Inn is open isn't it?

Iceman - maybe we can be part time neighbors.

Today was good. I was late as usual. Didn't see anyone, so I skied by myself. The parking lot was far from full, the mountain was empty.

It seemed to just be a bunch of pass holders up there. I can definitely see why they are closing. If over a foot of fresh snow can't get people out of the valley it makes no sense to be open.

Thanks to everyone I skied with this year for making it a great season!

sounds like a normal winter day...I usually park to the far right and zip up the eagle chair when I ride there....never more that 10-15 cars down there...early season, mid winter, spring...what a hidden gem. Only car I see there on a consistent basis is an old subaru wagon with a Busch beer bumper sticker...guy wears a straw hat when he skis, that car was there every single time I was this year, no matter which day....last week it was parked in the BCC park and ride...but still there.

    Release,
the inn will be open for conferences and weddings, and full-time around opening day. If your visiting this summer, be sure to drop by.

BobMc, sorry we missed you but Alta called. We will be drinking beer together soon. Check your pm for our #

Woodsy made a funny, truth is he would have much more gray hair right now if it wasn't for his super loyal and hard working staff, especially a certain staff member who happens to be working today. I hear it's not a smart business practice to talk shit about the one employee still up here, in a empty hotel, who has the master key.

Have fun in Banff, sweet dreams.

Whoo Hoo!!! I just bought my pass, Solisunday and Solimonday this season.

Solitude's pass system rocks the house, $368 to ski every Sunday and Monday of the season. Having kids and a wife I can't ski much more than 25-30 days a season, this pass system works perfectly for me. If anyone else is in the same situation take a look at it. www.skisolitude.com

    (end Solitude advertisement)

    The season isn't far off...

I'll be out in the morning - skiing off the summit lift. Same old outfit for me, sliver helmet, green jacket. How about it Bob?

I'll be out tomorrow morning, not sure how early. I'm supposed to meet Woodsy at Powderhorn at noon. If I get there earlier than that I'll head up to the summit and look for y'all.

I'll be wearing a tan and grey coat, black pants, and the same old hat. I've added a camera chest pack this year as well. Hopefully we can get some good pictures.
