Coming Up later this week to squeeze a few more days out of my Bear Valley Pass. I am staying in Angel's Camp and can coordinate a Highway 4 Carpool Thurs-Sun if anyone is interested in rideshare. PM me here.
Bear is reporting 9"total from the recent storm, so hopefully the coverage is holding up.

Bear Valley is still going... good enough.
Bear Valley held up well for 4 days of shredding. Perfect recovery from the Mothership Classic, laps and laps on a 745 Elevation drop. Just the perfect recovery.
Big kudos to my new on Hill Partner Ann Marie (ripper) and connecting with my old neighbor Christa.
They should be able to make it to the Pond Skim this weekend, the coverage is good, enough. maybe to the final bell on 4/17/22 too.

Damn. Missed Hibernation by one day. Evidently big holes down to creeks.
They may have Pooh running for the weekend.
Pond skimming tomorrow.
Cal Berkeley Marching Band was today’s lunchtime entertainment.
Heading back out with my slush skis for Part 2.

I was at BV today as well; that sure was fun seeing the Cal Band!
I skied Polar lift yesterday, and it wasn't that bad. Good cruisin' (slow cruisin' in the afternoon), mostly, except that the final cat-track to the lift was getting pretty grody towards the very end. I wouldn't be surprised if they move a bit of snow to patch that last stretch to reopen it for the weekend. Or they could just run Pooh.
Oh, and I just heard that Tioga's plowed from the east; still gated at the bottom though.

Anybody make it up Ebbetts the last couple of days? Wondering how the snowpack looks and how far you can get into Highland Lakes Road.

I just rode to mosquito today. Still lots of snow off the plowed road so I would presume highland lakes road is still packed.
If I ride up there tomorrow, I'll give you an update.

Finally got up to Ebbetts today. Bull Run Peak looked good down the usual north facing line and then the line skiers left down into the lower meadow. Coverage also looked good skiers right into the main bowl. Hard to say what the coverage is traversing down into Pacific Valley from Mosquito Lakes before climbing Bull Run. Gal from BV skied it maybe ten days ago (just before this last storm) and only had to take her skis off once. Road into Pacific Valley is blocked by snow 200 ft from Hwy 4. Folger Peak looks great on the north side. Couldn't see much of Hiram peeking out from behind, but it looked like good coverage on the NE side. I didn't even get down to the first campground on Highland Lakes Road, but my guess is a vehicle with decent clearance could get at least that far before being stopped by snow in the usual places. Couldn't see the bowl on Tryon but I'd imagine it's in good shape. Coming back toward 4 there's still a nice line from the top of the Tryon ridge into the first drainage before booting out. Snow from the west shoulder of Ebbetts Peak toward the PCT looked good, as did the line from the PCT down to the reservoir on the east side. Tracks on those lines as well as the short lines coming down from the ridge on the south side of the pass.
