Great day with the girls today.

Ebbetts Pass Road (Hwy 4) opened a few miles out to the east end of Lake Alpine today. Makes some cool options available.

I wonder how far up it goes from the east side. Have you heard anything about when Ebbetts Pass will open?

    Wee bump. Saw this today:
*An approaching storm has caused Caltrans to keep Sonora Pass closed, according to a news release from the agency.
The release said opening the road will be reconsidered on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Tioga pass will not open until sometime in July.*

Buddy's house in old Bear Valley today.

Ebbetts Pass road damage will keep it closed into July.

At what time? The website still shows it closed for construction and the phone line says all circuits are busy.
If it opens, I know where I'll be tomorrow.

Highland Lakes road open and in decent shape. Required 4x4 with clearance today to get through one snowdrift, but in a couple of days you should be able to drive in with any vehicle.

Not much good news around here. DR is high and dry. BV got Super Cub opened today. Moke West not happening next week. CP has a baby area and some park stuff open. Badger Pass high and dry.

Curry Village outdoor ice rink is open and the Valley trails are snow free. Tenaya Canyon and Tuolumne Grove to Hodgdon Meadow good hikes right now.

Long Barn indoor ice rink and Leland Meadows Snow Play are open.

    We are headed to Kirkwood.

Correction: BV will not likely be able to get Mokelumne West WROD open this week. Need more snow at summit unloading.

Also, Leland snow play got hammered over the weekend. Low tide, not recommended.

No skiing here, happy to be returning to BC soon. Hiked to 10k feet with minimal snow last week on Kaiser peak.

At least the climbing is good (that's my mom on her first multipitch in years !!! )

Sorry for the rotated picture can't get it right on the phone --- rotate 90 degrees to the left for true angle 😉
