Here's the review of the show at UnofficialAlpine.com...some choice quotes for sure from Wirth and Mrs Wirth
got back from utah late friday night, i was gonna break up the trip with another stop in the rubies, but i realized just before leaving that i would gain an hour with pacific time so tahoe wouldn't be as late an arrival as i thought, and we got waaaay more snow here from the last storm (snowbird got an inch between wed-friday night, rubies maybe a little more). and i missed nacho. saturday i got an 11am start from carson pass, and stopped for 45 minutes to watch some folks filming.
that left part of the afternoon for this

Had I known I would have traveled to CP. KFactor had to run after our first dangberg run. Instead I ventured out hoping to cross paths with Supu or Nuthon. Ended up solo in Cali, Thunder and finished back at dangberg. Best snow was found below the trees
damn i woulda called but from your online chatter i deduced you were still in santa cruz.

Anyone want to claim this? Couple sets of tracks, most prominent in the lower right.

Kirkwood was pretty good on Saturday. Got a few runs in the morning with Superstar Punani, Bill and crew. The wind destroyed a lot of good things. However, below tree line stuff was good. Went out to Cali Chute on Sunday........sub par.
Playing around with the digital camera to try and mix things up.
Sweet softness on the south bazunga today:Great to see so many folks enjoying the backcountry!
anyone else having issues with Mr. white jeep, giving out parking violation warnings/tickets? I just got my second one this season...
KW is stepping up lately. A couple weeks ago I received a free VR day pass, an apology, and and hot chocolate after chair 6 stopped for 20-30 minutes (I expected nothing). Today I had a burger that was actually good (substantial grilled bun, fresh lettuce and tomato, and meat from a tender cow).
The snow yesterday wasn't shabby either, with 4 inches of boot deep snow that lasted most of the day - I started hitting substantial tracks around 1pm. Today, I tried the backside of glove, which I found enjoyable, though the top 0-2 inches was soft crust. I wish the evil orb would go away. At least we should get a corn harvest by weekend.

Figures it was a zoo in Tahoe over the weekend ... glad those of you who got out had great times though.
Powdork, great video. Nacho Kusalas seem to be doing well.
Found a mix of great silky powder, wind buffed packed pow, sastrugi, windjacked crust, and even corn where we went out to. They also served great beer ... and we never ran into another party the entire weekend. Some of yous should be able to recorgnize the blurry mountains in this photo:

We ended up making a group decision not to go to cali chutes on sat. There were a couple different reasons. The biggest being the massive amount of windloading & the natural sluffing we could see in Sally alley. We were also 9 people deep & something really didn't feel right. We decided to ride inbounds for the morning & did a Martin lap in the afternoon.
While on the palisades ridge we saw 2 tracks through thunder bowl & an obvious crown line, slide path but luckily 2 tracks exiting the path & both people standing at the bottom.
Later in the day we ended up talking to the party, who are actually good friends. Here is the gopro of the slide

Snow Flake Killer
^^ It's interesting to see the fracture, etc. from a pole cam instead of a helmet cam view like usual. Glad your friends were okay.
Both my girlfriend and I (no link with passes or credit cards) got charged $83 from squaw valley ticket sales on 3/7/13.
Called them and they had no clue what happened and just said "we were having issues with silver passes scanning that morning (3/6/13)"....refunded.
Wondering who else this happened to.
Heads up.
