i was thinking all your religious hints were going somewhere else, though i couldn't figure out how anything could be hall shaped.

Or cathedral shaped. But you could certainly have an angel-shaped line.
But, to resolve the ambiguity, I think UCL and I will just have to hit your suggested line next weekend. Then we'll have it covered![]()

I love my family. Kids are the best.

meter-man, we didn't really peek way over on that side of the mountain, but in general coverage on the lower third of the mountain is thinnnn. However, the creekbed is holding enough snow to ski exciting soft pillows to get out without too much pine needles in your teeth. I ripped a hole in my expensive fancy pants (MHW DryQ elite) skiing between brush and branches on the exit, but I did also ski all the way to the road.

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

MrSmith - We rolled through right after the collision. Hell of a way to spend your Sunday morning...
I think you guys were the pair of skiers that we ended up leap frogging with on the way down Castle and back to the road. We were the two splitters that passed by while regaining the ridge for the ride out...
Anyway, definitely some good snow to be found up there... Just had to deal with some nasty wind on the ridges and a few icy traverses. Good time to have ski crampons... Which were back at the car.Had plenty of practice on technique this weekend... But the way down was always worth it.

Rode some mellow tree line blower near stanford rock this morning. Nice snow out there, and plenty of sunshine

You need a FedEx package under one arm for stoke delivery, pd.
Noice!
now tell me about how they behaved during that air....heh.
Red Lake Peak on Sunday: Skied down to Crater Lake in wind buff and breakable crust through the trees. Not too enjoyable, and very hooky. On the skin back up I witnessed a group set off a wind slab (pic in video). Then skied the gully down to the car. The gully was the best part of the day. Played around with my digital camera for this footage.
our pleasure, you take pretty pictures.
back in the pnw?

Any Oakland Lakeside maggot want to claim the Toyota Matrix with studded snows and Oregon plates? I walk by the thing every day ...
