Can't comment on whether you will get bored or not.... but if you ski at Mammoth 8 days this year, it will be cheaper to get a pass. Any more than 8 days with a pass is basically free skiing compared to buying a ticket per day.

If you can click around here and not get stoked, you just don't like skiing that much:

I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I skied Squaw everyday for 5 years. Now I ski Mammoth 5 of every 8 weekends. I don't get bored.
I don't know where you skied before, but if you live in socal Mammoth is your best bet. Plan on going every few weekends, and getting Motel 6 nights if you can't lock in a season ski lease. I would also get a Mt. Baldy pass, as that will give you days when you don't go to Mammoth. Baldy is 1.5 hours from Orange County, and less than that from LA. It is a quality mountain.
Where are you coming from that you worry about getting bored at Mammoth? Chamonix?"Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."

A virtual pass is only $119, or something like that. Other than last year, mine has always been worth it. Actually, last year was worth it too. I got some days when the snow finally fell. I agree that Baldy is too unpredictable for a full pass, but a virtual one is not too bad.

I skied/rode at Mammoth for two seasons and didn't get bored. It's a big mountain with a lot of great terrain. As others have said, you'd be crazy not to get a pass if you're going to go that much.

If you are getting bored with Mammoth after skiing only 3-4 weekends, you are not a skier (but it sounds like your girlfriend actually IS).

Idk, the bumps on Dave's were the size of VW's last season and the spring zipper-line on West Bowl is always entertaining.
To each his own, but boredom at Mammoth seems unlikely.

Mammoth sucks...with all that terrain you'll probably get lost...just skip skiing all together and get the iSkier app for iphone...that's where it's at these days

Is this a real question?
Don't buy the pass. Take the money, in cash, and hand it to your girlfriend, saying "I don't appreciate you enough to do what you are passionate about, with you. Find yourself a partner who does. And up in Mammoth, buy the bar a round on me."
