    bc access to emigrant peak, montana

    can anyone suggest a route in, i was looking at the road/trail off 6 mile creek road or emigrant gulch. i thought both will get you there, but which is better? thanks for any info

    Same here. Never been up there in the winter though.

    I climbed it a couple of summers ago. Straightforward scrambling with one snow section that we did on belay, using crampons and ice axes.

    If you are strictly hiking Six mile/Gold Prize approach is shorter with slightly less vert. If you your trying to ski Emigrant gulch side (the east face) has much better riding.
