STOKE/funny Pyramid gap under peer pressure VIDEO.
My bro-in-law found this video of me from back in the day. Contrary to our perception of gnarlyness... this clip shows the truth about how many of us feel before hitting something big for the first time. I stood on top looking down for at least 20 mins before getting a grip.
We measured Pyramid gap at 93' that year. I still remember being upside down and at least 10' off the deck as I passed the knuckle. I went nearly all the way down the back side of the pyramid (well over 100') before touching down again.
I overshot and flailed... none the less... what a blast to push past a little fear and send something large for the first time.

Good stuff dude. Nothing like getting psyched at the top of something, and then sending it big.
Glad you came out unscathed.
Edit: I really hate people like that camera man who don't have the balls to do it themselves, but make you feel like you need to give 'er. They're extremely useful, but annoying nonetheless."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

That's awesome, not the trick, but the sheer reality of it.

It may come across that way; but, the camera man was my 15 year old brother-in-law. He double backflipped the same gap on his snowboard that same season and stomped it. It may have even been during that same session. The nut job has room to talk.
...and by getting a grip I mean finally going for it.

Nice! Good to see the actual lead up instead of "sending " NOW!

"It's so pretty up hear, just gorgeous." CLASSIC.
Love the fear-factor small talk - definitely familiar to any of us who have stared down something scary. Your scary happened to be a 90' gap...

Wow. You definitely struggled to hit it. But when you did, boom. Fun to watch.
