official shop callout: wrong hole
plugs
I know some of you were following my hole plug woes in this thread, and basically the shit never got fixed. I've been back to the fucking shop over and over again and nothing seems to help. Well today I found out why. I went to another fucking shop to have them evaluated by Christ, who informed me that not only are the plugs the wrong color, but they were about 2 sizes too big too, we're talking easily .0005+ centimeter hole fit here. He was in complete disbelief that Jeremy at the shop would do such a poor fit job, as he has referred many customers there when he didn't have what they needed and has seen good things. He was even more appalled that instead of recognizing the mistake and getting the right plug size and color, they kept doing little bullshit band-aid fixes to try and cover it up, like grinding/stretching the holes, the internal frame, coloring the plugs with a Sharpie pen, and plug mods (and charging me for it). So basically I'm well over $1200 into hole plugs that are completely useless. The fucking shop sold me a 27.5 PlugTech RX 130 and after spending hours at the other fucking shop today looking at different colors, plug fitting, etc, Christ is positive I should be in the same plugs in a 25.5. This explains why the color was all wrong. He also made me a new PlugTech holes, and all plug work free, which all combined still will cost less then the fucking shop did with just the holes, stock plugs, and the wrong color. At the fucking shop, we tried on two holes: a 26.5 Plugger and a 27.5 PluTech RX 130. At the other fucking shop, I tried just about every fucking hole in every fucking size before Christ settled on one, which we played with for quite a while just to be sure. Basically, the fucking shop did a super quick, half assed job fitting my holes and plugging them. I gave them every possible opportunity to plug my holes right. I want nothing to do with them anymore and strongly advise anyone going to them for hole work to head over to the other fucking shop instead. Christ guarantees his fits with 100% satisfaction or money back.
What is the possibility of getting my money back from the fucking shop? I'll be heading back over there sometime next week to demand a fuckingrefund, but given the amount the holes have been plugged and modified, any way this will happen (it fucking should)?

what size hole do you normally fill?
hole fit is personal, but i like a nice even amount of pressure on all sides, with maybe just a bit of resistance upon penetration.In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...

Yeah, I normally like to size down in my holes but you have to be careful. Sizing down too much can get you in some serious trouble. Some people like to squirt some lube on if can't get your plug in there initially but personally I've found a little spit does the trick.

I'm a little confused how you could go into the shop having *no idea* what your plug size was?
I mean, really, even a cursory search around the internet will give you plenty of instruction on plug/hole fitting. There are even videos on the subject if reading poses difficulty for you.Maybe if you took your headphones out, you'd realize the girl next to you on the lift is hitting on you.

Look at it this way the shop did a crappy job of plugging your skis but they did a A1 job plugging you.
BTW does anyone know where I can get some extra large holes?watch out for snakes

If you have to take your plugs to a shop in the 1st place and then come on TGR crying about how they fucked up your plugs, well then, you should pretty much quit skiing and stick to just pretending you do on the interwebz.
