Snow in the PNW 2012/13 Thread
Figured the snow is just around the corner so I would start this up before the new snow starts to fall
Let us pray to Ullr that this El Nino is the mildest ever and that we will be skiing powder by Halloween. With the driest 3 months in the history of Seattle we are due for some big storms in the next few months.License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations

Woah there, adding "Thread" to the title and no CAPS LOCK?? This is just too much. But yes, its about time for some October powder on the Snowfield! The mountain bike trails are blown to shit after a summer of no rain.

You guys know that it can turn on a dime this time of year. It is close to cold enough. We just need some fall storms to roll through.

I think we need an Interior PNW thread as well. The cascades vs the interior are different animals.

This thread title doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.
Maybe
Washington State Conditions 2012/13
Wet and Scrappy 2012/13
Cascade Mountains 2012/13 Conditions
Not Nearly as Good as Colorado 2012/13

The Bros are currently at Pro Ski getting the hotbox spa treatment and full 1/2* tune.. My 5th grader skis free @ Baker this yr, so there'll be plenty of vert logged there.. then it'll be backcountry pow missions..

I'm going to continue to enjoy the rock climbing and trail running until it decides to snow. This is pretty much the best fall i've ever had so far.

Sacrifice is in order to please the whims of nature.
A sacrifice in the form of destroying something that one holds dear and treasured in order to attain a mythic reality.
I just burned a 2" T-Bone steak to a blackened charred state similar to melted dried Polyvinylchloride on the BBQ and will go to bed hungry, yet somehow hopeful.

I'll take the blame for this. It's my first season in the PNW,which can only mean that we will all be cursed and a drought is sure to follow.
Subsequently, all of Colorado has ME to thank for the surely epic season they're about to receive.
Rest assured, there will be as many sacrifices to Ullr as possible in the "Plea to Ullr" thread in the Padded Room. Stay tuned. So local it hurts...

Starting this thread when we don't have snow to talk about was a bad idea. Blow it up and try again later.
that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...
